We had to euthanasia our dog yesterday, she had too much pain so after 11,5 years we don't have a dog anymore. I expected it would hurt but not this much. First time in 5 years that I cry over someone

Saw a little grey tail whisk past the bedroom door and thought I must have a visiting cat as sometimes happens.

Now trying to persuade "WhiteEars", the squirrel who lives in the back garden that they really would prefer to be outside. This is very hard to do as the squirrel panics if you get too close (impressed by therir ability to run up the wallpaper). So far, I've managed to get them downstairs but they are currently disintegrating my summer "decor" in the sitting room...

ETA: WhiteEars is outside sitting on the fence eating apple. I'm not which of us is most relieved.

I am in the very tedious process of renaming various movie still files on my computer, and uploading many of them online to share with people - it also helps to serve as a backup in case something happens to my hard drive. But the time involved is very exhaustive, especially since I don't know of any program that can rename every file in a single directory the way I want it done...so instead, I have to do everything manually, which sucks. If I had known 20 years ago that I'd have so many files, I'd probably have started properly naming them at that point...but as they say, hindsight is always 20/20.
