Had yet another pest control employee knock on the door claiming they just did work for my neighbor (insert made up name here) and are offering their services to everyone else in the neighborhood. Is this sales pitch from the pest control manual or something? Haven't heard any other businesses attempt this tactic.

Not all the time, but I've seen that kind of thing around here before for painters, roofers, and people who do driveway sealing. (Don't think I've ever had someone do it for pest control before, though! )

Yeah, that's the only type of business that's used this specific line at my door. One time two different businesses knocked in the same week, and the second one didn't like that I brought up the first one and he tried to act defensive for some reason.

Solar panels. When we first moved in, we had solar panel salespeople at the front door at least twice a week for nearly three months.
