For me, lower back -- ice. Upper back-- heat.
Also, the generic brand lidocaine patches from the grocery store pharmacy aisle really work when back pain keeps me awake at night.

Ice can help reduce inflammation, so can be worthwhile for the lower back. Usually follow up with lidocaine or ICYHOT patches

Sitting on Mom's couch with her dog, Louie, and watching "Supernatural." My sister and her kids are visiting her so I have to go pick them up at the airport in a few hours. My niece LIVES with my Mom but can't be bothered, so I drove for over 3 hrs to come to Mom's.

Now I have stay to here and chauffeur everyone while they visit, and miss a few days of work, which I can't really afford. At least I get to see Mom and her dog.

My nieces could give a rat's ass whether I'm there or not and my sisters--- well, I don't really like them. The oldest is a psychopath (actually diagnosed as a narcissist) and middle sister hates everyone who is not a white, middle class Republican; she thinks Fox news is too liberal.

And they wonder why I'm so introverted...

Washing a load of colors early. For some reason the shirt I sleep in has a slight odor and I don't know why. The bed doesn't smell. The other clothes I washed with the shirt last time doesn't smell. I don't smell. Maybe because I cooked while wearing it?
