What are you doing at this moment?

Drinking gin and tonics, listening to the Mets/Phillies game on radio, and beginning preparations for my upcoming trip to San Francisco

I have wine in a tumbler, I’m not meant to be drinking but I stayed up to write, and my muse went out for a cigarette thirty minutes ago and hasn’t come back. Not sure I’ll see her again for a while.

So, I’m considering ordering a poetry book, I’m not big on poetry, but this is an anthology on London Underground Poems, and its about £0.25, plus delivery. I don’t know. If I knew where my wallet was, maybe I’d place the order. I should sleep though.

Chatting with my son about when and where to go if the hurricane slides up the coast towards us. Usual September chat.

Listening to music while mentally trying to untie a couple of plot knots in a current writing project. Music always helps for some reason.

Doing laundry and nervously watching Hurricane Dorian updates.
Also dragging up suitcases from the basement for my trip next week.

you're not in the path of that storm are you? Please get out of the way in time if you are. I'm glad I live in England, we don't get extreme events like that. Our version of extreme weather is a heatwave where the weather is over 30C for a few days, or when there is snow beyond a light dusting a couple of times per winter, or wind storms where the wind gets stronger than 60mph. We have a very benign temperate climate here and four distinct seasons.

Listening to the thunder as the hurricane approaches. It's dark out now so I hope there are no sneaky tornadoes.

I'm not in the direct path. I'm in central Virginia. We will probably get a lot of rain and wind. I'm more worried about my nephew, who lives in Charleston, South Carolina. They're having a lot of flooding.

I'm Netflixing.

Edit: misunderstanding of newfangled slang. :scream:
