What are the worst "game killers" you've encountered?

I remember abandoning GTA: San Andreas for years after I first got it. There's this mission fairly early on when you have to follow a train on a poxy little motor-cross bike while your passanger shoots the bad guys off the top. The catch it the fat bastard can't shoot strait and you invariably end up running out of time because the mission "fails" if the train gets beyond a certain point. Wasn't until this year that I picked it up again and finally managed to do it.

Seriously, who puts the most difficult mission at the start of the game?

All ya had to do was follow the damn train, CJ!

I remember being stuck there for a few weeks. I've played the game through a few times and I always have to try that mission five or six times before I finally succeed. It's not made easier by the fact that if you fail, you're probably out in the countryside and it will take several minutes to return to Los Santos. Same goes for that mission in San Fierro, where you're tasked with driving alllllll the way out into the countryside, to a location where there's no direct route, and then driving back in a car that is enthusiastic about rolling over.

Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom has an early scenario I've never beaten. The player is tasked with building so many second-tier neighborhoods that house so many people. There's no way to generate revenue in the scenario, so you have to fulfill the goals before you run out of money. I think I'm pretty good at managing Sierra Games' cities, but I've not managed to do it.

I found a cheap game called "Secret Service" when I had an Xbox and it was pretty much a shooter where you act as a Secret Service agent during a terrorist attack on DC. Early on you have to difuse a bomb and you had to figure out of to make the circuits match before it blew up. It was nearly impossible to figure out the sequence and I would get blown up all the time. I pretty much got sick of it because the graphics werent very good nor was the story so it was easy to dump it on some poor sap on ebay.

The mission in GTA San Andreas where you have to intercept a jet plane with your tiny single-engine propeller airplane. You had to start turning your plane around just at the right moment, because as soon as you spot the plane heading towards you it's too late. Must've attempted that mission at least 20 times before I got it right!

Where do I start....

*Final Fantasy VIII: "The Omega Weapon", by the time I reached Ultimecia's Castle I was level 100, all round pretty much, I had the "Ultimate Weapons" for each character, powerful spells, the best GF's and all the limit breaks, there was no real strategy back then that would allow you to defeat the Omega Weapon, it was so insanely powerful, even for an FF Optional Boss, I remember using a Gameshark, even that didn't work, If you managed to survive its first onslaught of "Meteor" and "Terra Break", hit it with Meltdown and then Lionheart a 1/3rd of its Health away, it would still come back and pretty much wipe your entire party out with another "Terra Break", sure I could complete the game, but the Omega Weapon is a must do for any player of the game, even if your only awarded with a silly tutorial page and an Item you won't need if your that powerful enough already to attempt to take it on

*Star Trek: Legacy: "The Meteorite Mission", goes without saying, I gave up on the game after this as it was just insanely difficult, that along with the glitches, barely responsive controls and repetitive gameplay ruined what seemed like an excellent game

*Tekken Series: Later Titles: Ok so I appreciate a challenging game, but the Later Bosses in the Tekken series are just insanely difficult, even for experienced players, you cannot throw them, combos usually get broken up mid way through, they block absolutely everything, can quickly get multiple attacks in, they juggle you always and to top it off, when you've beaten them, you still can't unlock them to use!!

*"Ladder Matches" In The Smackdown Vs Raw Series: Seriously a match that you cannot win against the AI, unless you resort to an underhand tactic, such as taking all the ladders and running to the end of the ramp, to trick them, thats just a really badly thought out AI

*Online Multiplayer Exploits: Goes without saying, people who play Online are either Good, Bad or Cheaters and more often than not they find ways to exploit the game, such as in FPS' like the Call Of Duty series or people who play the game solely to try and make a profit in most Online RPG games, where the overall gameplay becomes about finding Rare Items and offering them for money to other players

I think that about covers it for now!

The last page of this thread is reminding me why GTA games are the rare series where I inevitably ending up cheating to advance.
