What Are The Genre Films of 2009? -Edited Title

So we have the either dreaded of eagerly anticipated new Star Trek film. I know of the the new T4 film as well as a Wolverine movie(is there a Magneto film as well?).

Can we please compile a list of all the genre movies coming out in 2009?

Wait a tic...Star Trek is coming out in 2009. Unless they're already talking sequel?

Wow - now THAT'S an embarressing senior moment. To my credit I am propped up here with a bad back and goofed up to the eyeballs on pain medications.

Off to ammend title and post.

I changed the fucking thread title in my initial post but it hasn't changed in the menu.

FUCK IT

I am in too much pain to care right now.

Hah, common mistake.

Let's see, there's: Watchmen (March 6), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (May 1st), Star Trek (May 8th), Terminator Salvation (May 22nd), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (June 26th), Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (July 17th), G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (August 7th).

I think those are the main genre films of 2009. David Goyer is attached to direct Magneto but that hasn't even been greenlit yet. There are other, lesser degree "genre" films of next year, such as 2012 and Angels & Demons, but I wasn't sure if they qualified or not.

Out of all of those aforementioned films, I'm most looking forward to Star Trek, Watchmen and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Wow...I don't know if I should laugh or cry...It goes from one extreme to another...

Good - Watchman
Unknown - Wolverine (this could be really good or really bad)
Unknown - Star Trek (see Wolverine)
Unknown - Terminator Salvation
Bad - Transformers
Good - Harry Potter
Bad - GI Joe

Seriously...schizophrenic year for genre films again. Make money sure but dumbing down the franchise? Check...

What are the genre films of 2010 though?
Iron Man 2?
... will Spider-Man 4 be out by then maybe?

Spider-Man 4 is aiming at a 2011 release.

If everything stays on track, green lights are forthcoming and there aren't delays then some of the big SFF films of 2010 should be:

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
Alice in Wonderland
Iron Man 2
Shrek Goes Fourth
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Toy Story 3
The Green Hornet
The Last Airbender
Thor
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Possibly (hopefully!) Green Lantern, too.

Hmm, there's only really Iron Man 2 that interests me in that list. I'll go see Thor as its part of the whole Avengers things, but other than that...
