What Are the Election Results in Your State and Are You Happy?

Nowhere Man

Commodore
I'll start. I live in Maryland and I voted Greeen Party when I could and Democrat where Green Party was not an option. My Green Party canidates did not win of course, but the Democratic Governor did, so I am happy with that. My Senate choice won, but my House member is not winning. The polls closed a couple of hours ago. It's a close race, but it doesen't look good. I live in a comunity full of old people, they always vote Republican so it doesn't surprise me. Fucking old people:barf: I hope California legalizes Marijuana.:bolian:

I'm happy with my state. I'll check the local elections tomorrow, but I don't expect too many unpleasant surprises.

Things are going pretty decently for my state (Maine) so far. Democrat incumbents Chellie Pingree and Mike Michaud are both leading their respective House races. Independent Eliot Cutler is currently leading the race for governor, though Republican (and Tea Party associate) Paul LePage is gaining ground on him. :ack:

I think Rhode Island has the best ballot initiative I've seen. They're voting whether or not to change their name.

I don't know why they would want to change the name "State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations".

Ohio's going mostly Republican, which annoys me, but the Governor's seat is still up for grabs. I'm hoping for a Strickland win between him and John Kasich, but it's still too close to call.

My Congressman is lowlife Peter King and he always wins so that's no surprise. Otherwise both Senate seats and the governorship went Democrat so I'm happy.

Overall I'm fine with it... although I was hoping Joseph Cao would somehow miraculously hold his house seat (LA-2), but reality is what it is.

I'm in Virginia. Naturally I'm not happy about the results.

Ditto here. I'm starting to think 2008 was a fluke for Ohio. Some of the most shamelessly dishonest people are running as Republicans this election, and they're winning. It doesn't help that I am smack in the middle of GOP country. Hardcore supporters here. A Republican politician could eat a puppy on live TV and somehow he or she would still win by a large majority.

I'm happy with the results in MA. Patrick won re-election. All the House seats are going to stay Democratic, and ballot questions 2 and 3 failed.

I am not happy at all. Every U.S. Congressman from Ohio that was voted in is Republican. Every major official voted in is Republican from Governor on down to Treasurer. On the local level, again, all Republicans. Ohio is once more a deeply red state. :(

Arkansas went the right way I think. How can you go wrong with a Senator named Boozman?? Governor Beebe is a rightous dude!!!

My old Congressional District in Pennsylvania (Joe Sestak's district) is going GOP (along with Sestak's Senate dreams).

I personally am tired of having to choose the lesser of the two evils. The Reublicans don't care about civil righs and mostly only care for big business. The Dems. don't control spending and are ball less when it comes to getting legislation passed. They cave and concede. A third party can't get any support and both Dems and Republicans take lobyist money. This is why it keeps flip flopping.

We got the right Congress man(Hey I worked on his campaign)

Even though he's a Republican we got a governor who's better than the big lug we got right now.

The democrat won as governor, but that was pretty much a foregone conclusion since the primary. The guy was verbally fapping himself over how he didn't run any negative ads, and I kept thinking "You didn't have to! You were practically unopposed!"

All of the ammendments that everyone hated got shot down by a wide margin. No surprise there.

Last I checked, the senator was still up in the air, but that was a while ago. Since both candidates are the fucking spawn of satan I'm not sure I care.

It was what I expected. I would have liked Matt Zeller to beat Tom Reed, but what's done is done. I'm still waiting on Dan Maffei who's campaign I worked on.
