What are the best TV space ships/starships?

I did today's top 5 on the topic, and I think many of you would agree (at least with most of the choices, though maybe in a different order). I'm really curious to know what other ships you would add (and in place of which ones). Have at it!

I cannot believe that the only Trek ship to make the list was the Enterprise. The Klingon Bird of Prey was a much cooler design IMO than the Enterprise [any variation on TV] and even the Romulan Battle Cruisers were more meancing in their apperance.

In term of anything from Babolyn 5 - the CGI was so undeveloped at the time that the ships looked way to fake IMO. Only the Vorlon ship was decent.

I actually like the "cartoonish" effect of B5 CGI, it makes it look more alien, IMHO. However, I'm surprised you'd go with the Vorlon ships, as they did have a cartoony look. I don't think the Shadow ships look cartoony at all

Meh, you're likely right. IMO the Vorlons were the best part of B5 in terms of complex characters so I'm likely prejudice because of that opinion.

A vorlon would answer the question as to whether or not they were the most complex characters on B5 as simple "Yes"

and expct you to understand why without telling you why they were.

An if you tell them that this annoys you express approval of getting annoyed by it. Or at least Kosh does.

My top pick is easily the Enterprise-D. Sleek and professional on the outside, luxuriant and classy on the inside. It's one of the few TV spaceships I can look at and honestly think I want to live there.

Past this the choices have been reiterated and reiterated: The original Enterprise, the new Battlestar Galactica, and of course Moya.

Given a fifth place, uh, I dunno... let's say the Sharlin-class Minbari ship. Those were sweet.
What no love for the Normandy from the Mass Effect games? :(
Not a thing on TV and thus ineligible.

I dunno, the Ent D is a little, well beige, and it does feel a bit like an office...that said it's very roomy inside which in a spaceship has to be a good thing!

And I think the Serenity looks like a chicken, the Tardis is just a telephone booth and the Yamato is basically just a warship ungracefully plonked into space.

Not everyone's opinions match, obviously.

I agree re Serenity. Ent D definitely did grow on me, externally at least, I like the fact that Starfleet essentially made a sculptured starship, it is very different from any other Federation ship out there bit it did take me some time to appreciate it.

Some other ships I think are worth mentioning are the different space battleships from the various Mobile Suit Gundam series, like the Albion from Gundam 0083 which was designed by Shoji Kawamori of Macross fame, and the Argama from Zeta. They stand out a bit from other series ships because they lack shields and artificial gravity a standard feature on most space shows.

Mysterious can be interesting IMO. BTW, I also think the Breen are some of the more interesting characters in Trek as well for the same reason.

I have to go with a ship from Star Trek, not one of the famous ones though, for me the really beauty is the Xindi Aquatic Cruiser

In that case, you'd probably like the Amateras from "Starship Operators." Gravity is created in a rotating section of the ship which includes the main living spaces. The real combat work is done in non-gravitational sections.
