Particularly TV sci-fi wise. I wanna see a lot of them again but they've been frustratingly scarce and/or not on shows I like. :(

Nana Visitor - will be in S4 of BSG, really looking forward to that!

Jeffrey Combs - on The 4400 last time I checked; that show doesn't interest me, sadly.

Rene Auberjonois - still on Boston Legal? I've never had any interest in lawyer shows.

Alexander Siddig - appears in various non-sci-fi movies, good for him, he's got a movie career so he's not going to stoop to do TV anymore, is he?

Colm Meany - I don't expect to see him on TV ever again and probably not in sci fi...

What about: Marc Alaimo, Andrew Robinson, Casey Biggs, Louise Fletcher, JG Hertzler?

Avery Brooks is mostly doing stage work as far as I can tell. I saw him at the new Harmon Center here in DC last night (Nov. 23) in a production of Tamburlaine and his performance was outstanding.

Rene Auberjnois is no longer a regular on Boston Legal, but he's supposed to be recurring this season as Paul Lewiston. I haven't caught any episodes, so I can't say if he's appeared or not, but it's a shame if you're ignoring Boston Legal because it's a "lawyer show." Boston Legal is both a screwball comedy as well as a serious show about getting older--it just happens to be about lawyers. That's my take on it, anyways.

And Alexander Siddig has still been doing TV while appearing in movies, most notably a run on 24 last year (really the only good part of that season).

Oh right. Didn't think he'd be back on TV (assuming that show ever gets made).

I avoided that season. :D Hopefully things will improve for S7...

Andy Robinson is the head of the MFA acting program at the University of Southern California; he also, I understand, helped develop the curriculum.

Life on Mars was aimed for Midseason but with the strike most likely next fall or next midseason.

Colm Meaney has been keeping busy anyways. There was an Irish film a while back whose name I forget had a two-minute cameo by him and Colin Farrell, which was a big deal as it was the first time either of them had condescended to appear in an Irish production since forever. :)

So, where is Armin Shimerman these days?

And Hirogen Alpha - how faithful to Marlowe was this production? I've always wanted to see Tamburlaine the Great on stage, but I hear these days the Koran-burning scene gets cut for obvious reasons.

/\/\Not fair to Colm,he's just come off the Irish movie KINGS,an irish language movie,no less.Granted it's not sci-fi.

Wow. They make Irish language movies now? Even I didn't know that. ;)

Any good?

Grim ,the story of several middle-aged emigrants reuniting at the funeral of one of their friends.A bit too stereotypial;drinking, arguing etc.You know what Irish alzheimers is?......forget everything except the grudges.

as someone said upthread, Marc Alaimo has retired (what a shame!), and Casey Biggs, AFAIK, is a theatre director.

Rene has been conspicuously absent from Boston Legal. He is no longer a regular.

Casey Biggs is apparently running a new theatre being built for him in New England.

Chase Masterson is starring in a scifi noir film called "Yesterday Was A Lie" (opposite Kipleigh Brown who was Taylor in ENT) that comes out next year- and according to IMDb she's in a new series called Benvenuti Family, although I don't know if it's been picked up yet.

I think Colm had been doing theatre either in the US or UK at the back end of last year. As said above, he's in the new movie Kings which I think is a pretty low budget indie affair. He's also had parts in just about every Irish film made within the last few years.

Colm appeared at a con in London last January where someone told me he lives in Spain nowdays.

Apart from Bill Shatner who continues to have a wonderful gift for reinventing himeself, starring long term in a sci-fi series (particularly Trek) has never been conducive to a long and prosperous future acting career unless you're Avery Brooks or Patrick Stewart and have previous theatre experience which will always get you work.
