What about the Breen?

I think it would be interesting to see more of the Breen in either a series or movie. Sure, they were in DS9, but we didn't learn much in my opinion, and I think they should be a more active part of the ST world.

Thoughts?

I'd like to see more in graphic novels / trek lit going into more detail about the Breen's entire way of life, general description, family lives, et al.

But, we'll likely not see that beyond fan fic @ Trek Writers' Guild, etc.

The Breen our my favourite Trek race and their ships are my fave too. I approve of having Breen in future Trek.

Heck, i'd love to have them in the next NuTrek film. We get to see an earlier version of them.

In fact they would make the perfect villain for the next film, nobody can tell what they are saying, even Starfleet can have trouble understanding them because they wont have anything like Breen programmed into the universal translator.
So Starfleet wont even know their motivation for being bad an neither will the audience!!!!!!!!
I think those who are new to Trek would love a villain onscreen like the Breen where they can't understand them, there's something sinister about it.

The audience wont even care for motive, THEY'RE THE BREEN and therefore motive is irrelevant especially with a race so different and secret as the Breen.

^ yes! i totally agree! this is an alternative universe, so any enemy would do. to bring the breen in would be great.

in fact, with vulcan destroyed, the vulcan confederacy (or whatever its called) is weaker. from what we saw in DS9, they would see this as an oppurtunity to destroy a major/powerful part of the Fed. The Feds will have trouble reasonning with an enemy they cant frakkin understand, but is too powerful to have an all ot war with!

Interesting thoughts. I had similar ideas but utilizing either the Tholians or Gorn. It never occurred to me about the Breen; I really dig this idea but will probably never happen. What do we know, we are only fans.
