Western Union

Hi all,

Has anybody (particularly in Germany) received Western Union transfers direct to your bank account?

I need to make a transaction, but wish it to be anonymous (from the recipient -- I don't care what the government knows), and thought this might be the best way.

So I'm curious exactly what information would appear in the transaction register of a recipient's bank account.

NEVER. EVER. Let anyone have your bank account information. As a former police officer, I cannot count the number of people who have been taken in by such scams.

Western Union is still used for instant cash but it doesn't sound like immediate access is an issue for the OP. Sounds a bit shady in fact

I desperately needed money and my girlfriend sent it to me through Western Union. Just needed to find a shop that could cash it for me

Yeah, 'cause nobody at Western Union would rip you off. It's not like people have gotten caught ripping off their own bank. It's not like servers at restaurants have never been caught taking cards out to criminals who swipe the cards and get information. Its not like several I.R.S. employees havent' been caught ripping off and stealing money from the I.R.S. for years. No, no -- those people at the Western Union, they're angels. Why? Well, because they work at Western Union, of course!
