I didnt like Wesley as a character alone, but i did like the relationship between Wesley and Picard, it was always so awkward at the beginning. Picard seemed like:
'should i be his dad? does he need a dad, i hate kids, does he think im his dad?, do i love crusher?, if i loved crusher would i have to be wesleys dad?'
He did get better as the series progressed though.
