wesley in "the icarus factor"

i'm not - well, not usually, anyway - a big wesley basher, i don't generally mind wesley at all, but i just rewatched "the icarus factor" the other night, and man was that kid twerpy. i mean, he was UNUSUALLY twerpy. extra-twerpy. he didn't really seem to serve any purpose to the storyline aside from badgering and annoying various characters. and viewers. extra-twerpy.

Agreed. He was just being a good friend to Worf. He was the only one who tried to understand what his friend was going through.

I think it was only when the producers decided to make him a DJ that Wesley really clicked as character.

Then again, that time he changed from an annoying teenager to an annoying adult wasn't really a good move for his character.

Is that the same episode that has Riker fighting his Dad, and the infamous cameltoe gymanstic scene?
All I remember is some of those S2 eps were as bad, or even worse, than S1 clunkers. At least the S1 clunkers had a kind of retro-cheesy TOS feel.
