We're supposed to hit 100 F today!

Yesterday, we hit a high of 97 F. It's supposed to cool down a little bit later this week. To the mid-90s.

Summer is here! And it looks like it's going to be another scorcher. :(

How's the weather been in your area?

I'm in Dallas, TX. We hit triple digits a few weeks ago. Right now, it's 93 F but feels like 99 F. With the humidity around here, no one has to pay for a sauna.

Give us a few more weeks, and you could literally fry an egg on the sidewalk. I've seen it. It's freaky.

It's been comfortable here, lately. High teens to low twenties, generally, my kind of weather!

Unfortunately, it's supposed to get hot later in the week. :(

Well, we have a nice snowpack, so that should start melting soon, making the waterfalls in Yosemite fantastic, but dangerous.

I hope to have a chance to go up there again in August. Very nice.

It's been hawt lately; however, this morning the central Oklahoma area has been dumped on with massive amounts of rain. Roads are flooded in some areas, creeks are swollen, and care must be taken during the commute. Average totals are up to 10" of rain in north OKC to about 3" south of OKC.

100 degree temperatures are not a big deal here. In fact, we call it "August."

Right now, we're having "cool" summer weather---only in the low 90s. However, with the humidity, the heat index is 103 F. Bleh.

It has been pretty warm lately around here, reaching 85 degrees, and being around the mid 80's lately in the daytime. Pretty warm for here this time of year.

Thankfully we've been getting showers pretty much ever evening, cooling things off.

In NYC it's one of those stunningly mercurial days where one can look in one direction and see nothing but blue skies punctuated with fluffy white clouds and then turn around to see the sky in the other direction so thick and dark with threatening thunderstorms that it's nearly black. Then, the sun comes out and illuminates the trees and buildings a rich golden brown against the dark grey sky, and nothing is more beautiful.

Here in the Bay Area, it's actually pretty nice for once.

We call it "June." A few years ago, we had 21 straight days over 110 F--that's "July." It usually doesn't get consistently under 90 F under mid/late September.

Spring is so nice in Fresno. Everything's green, the orange orchards smell great and the Blossom Trail is a nice drive, while everything is in flower. Fall, short as it is, can be nice, though the smell of "crush" (with harvesting all the vineyards) can permeate a bit. Lots of vineyards in the area. Maybe not as nice as Napa, but there's a local muscat wine I like (Quady vineyards).

I scoff at your fear of triple digit weather, for I am a native Texan, livin' in Austin. It hits triple digits in December down here!

...or something...

I had a laugh the summer I spent in Charlotte, though, when there was a record SIX DAYS where the temperture got to a 100 degrees or higher all summer!

Wimps.

80s and 90s here in DC. I hear if we hit the high 90s, they are going to bring out the extra snow the city kept from the Snowcalypse this past February and spread them all over the Mall for the kiddies to play under the scorching DC sun.

Its been hot here in the mountains too. 85 or so for the past few days. Had to put the A/C in the bedroom window because it wasn't cooling off to the 50s at night like it normally does and cooling the house down at night with the fans.

I just checked and the low tonight will be 67 and 88 degrees tomorrow. Man that is hot for here. I think I will take the motorbike up to mount Mitchell tomorrow. Its 50 miles away to the top and the highest mountain in the eastern us. It will be cool up there. Nice to go up there and it be in the 50s and get chilled to the bone and then come home. My normal run to mt Pisgah is 15 miles away but there is still that rock slide on the blue ridge parkway and it blocks that ride.

It's been pretty gross here in CT, rather low temps (mid 70s maybe?) and overcast or raining... it finally broke this afternoon and I think we might get a real sunny day tomorrow. I can't wait to get out and get some Vitamin D again, get rid of the rickets and depression. :P

Hobart's temperature gets to 100F only about 2-3 times a year. It gets into the high 80s and 90s more often of course (maybe 10-12 days).

The majority of Tasmanian homes do not have air-conditioning so when we get hot weather we just have to bear it. Many Tasmanian houses get really hot because we have a lot of windows.

My sister lives in Adelaide and her loungeroom only has about a quarter of the window space that my loungroom has.

100 F

Try 47C and see if you can cope with that smiles.

We had that temp a year ago and geez it was uncomfortable

But here in melbourne Australia it is abit cold 15C

15C isn't cold. I like the temperature to be between about 15-20C. The temperature in Hobart is now 10C and it is a nice sunny day. It was 3C when I got up this morning so I had my heater on for a couple of hours.

Ah, a kindred spirit. Anything above 20C is just way too hot for my liking. It was 30C here yesterday and it was just way too hot.
