Well it's official. TWOK has exposed me as a dirty old man.

"Good Lord, Jim, she's an atomic robot! If you'd stuck anything in there we'd all be dead now!"

Reminds me of of what I always thought was the most hilarious James Bond double entendre.

I think it was in "The Spy Who Loved Me". Some crisis happens and M asks Moneypenny where 007 currently is and she replies that he's on a special assignment and M replies "Tell him to pull out, immediately"...........Cut to a shot of SURPRISE!!!! Bond in bed with a woman.

In terms of general Trek innuendo, there's The Good Bit in Masks where Picard is holding a blatantly phallic object and waxing lyrical about how awesome it is which Patrick Stewart is holding and stroking in a way Jonathan Frakes is clearly having trouble keeping a straight face looking at.

So, I was watching "Friday's Child" recently with a couple of friends. The three of us are in the furry fandom (yeah yeah...), and this gem came up:

Chekov: A klingon warship!

Of course, with his accent, it came out sounding like "voreship", and in the furry fandom vore is a kink involving eating your partner (think cat and mouse).

We had a good giggle about that, but utterly lost it at:

Scotty: And we'll go right down their throat, if necessary. Let's see if they have the belly for it.

Never thought I had a dirty mind. Sure I like some movies like Animal House, Caddyshack and Used Cars that have dirty scenes in them as long as I thought they were funny and clever overall. So crap like American Pie I thought were just crass and stupid and I generally don't go for overt sex or toilet humor.

But last night I was doing some work and the last hour of TWOK was on so I just left it as ambient noise while I worked.

So the scene in the Genesis Cave comes where Kirk and Carol are alone and Kirk says he feels old and worn out and she replies by saying "Let me show you something that will make you feel young, like when the world was new"..........I actually snickered a little and thought "I bet you can show him something like that".......First time in countless viewings I ever thought that line.

Maybe it's because of NuMarcus in her bra and panties in ID thst I thought that......Or maybe it's all over for me now and it's the start of my decline into sitting on a park bench someday asking young women who walk by if they'd like some sugar from grandpa.......Shit.....Just as I was looking forward to retirement someday too.;)

I think I've always subliminally thought this about this scene.

Well, i was very young and naive and at the first time of seeing these things, I would never have thought of these things in a double entendre kind of way.

But now as a grumpy old man, who's been around a lot of people who think in that way,k well, it is actually hard to not think in those kinds of ways after decades of being conditioned to.

Sigh. how things change for you as you grow older.

Voyager's been out twenty years now.

Damn.

I MISS STAR TREK!

You are haunting my reality.

This, alongside Moonraker's 'I think he's attempting re-entry sir'

There is all kinds of dialog in Trek that can be interpreted in an, um... unorthodox way, if taken out of context.

Spock (TOS The Immunity Syndrome): "Brace yourselves, the area of penetration will no doubt be sensitive." :vulcan:

Kor

"Aroused... his great physical strength could kill."

Kirk regarding Spock
TOS This Side of Paradise

From TNG, Best Of Both Worlds Pt.1

Shelby: “Data was available, I took him, we came.”

I remember thinking about that in a dirty way the first time....and every time since.

And then there's Worf's line in DS9's "Change of Heart":
"I like my blood wine very young and very sweet."

I was waiting for him to continue, "...which is also how I like my women."

I'm glad Shelby at least said "we" came instead of "he" came.

It shows Data is skilled and aware of the needs of his partner as well as his own.

Also from The Wrath of Khan in the spacedock scene, Spock told Sulu he may "indulge himself". I took a non Trekfan date to the movie, and I immediately whispered in her ear "right there on the bridge?" Surprisingly she laughed.

Not long after this, we broke up.
