After rewatching the Red Dwarf episode "Backwards", it got me to wondering who is the most desirable female cartoon character.

For the uninitiated, here is the conversation between Lister and Cat:

Lister: D'ya think Wilma's sexy?
Cat: Wilma Flintstone?
Lister: Maybe we've been alone in deep space too long, but every time I see that body, it drives me crazy. Is it me?
Cat: Well, I think in all probability, Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable woman that ever lived.
Lister: That's good. I thought I was going strange.
Cat: She's incredible!
Lister: What d'ya think of Betty?
Cat: Betty Rubble? Well, I would go with Betty... but I'd be thinking of Wilma.
Lister: This is crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?
Cat: You're right. We're nuts. This is an insane conversation.
Lister: She'll never leave Fred, and we know it.

I have included a poll, but I may well have omitted someone's favorite CILFs from the list. Anyway, if you want to suggest other characters, feel free to say why.

Some suggestions in no particular order:
  • Wilma Flintstone
  • Betty Rubble
  • Major Motoko Kusanagi (may swing the other way)
  • Jessica Rabbit
  • Turanga Leela
  • Amy Wong
  • Lois Griffin
  • Marge Simpson
  • Peggy Hill
  • Helen Parr (Elastigirl)

If I was a man I would go for Betty Rubble. The only problem with Betty is that her first name is the same as my mother's.

If I had to choose a male character I would go for Taz - because I like my 'men' wild and because he is a fellow Tasmanian.

Veronica Lodge.

I was at a comic convention in '95 and got Archie Comics artist Dan Parent to do a sketch of Veronica for me. He was so thrilled someone asked for a sketch he didn't charge for it.

Betty vs. Veronica is a lot like the Wilma vs Betty debate.

On the list given, Amy Wong is my favorite. But there are cartoon women I find more attractive; my two favorites would have to be the original Supergirl, as drawn by Curt Swan or Jim Mooney, and Crystal, as drawn by Jack Kirby. Then there was Leeja from Magnus, Robot Fighter, who ran around in a sheer black negligee all the time; I still can't figure out why Gold Key, of all companies, was not governed by the Comics Code Authority. :rommie:

In contemporary animation, I like Ariel and Kim Possible. The Mother on Secret Saturdays is pretty hot, but I can't think of her name at the moment.

The hottest character on the list is Jessica Rabbit, no holds barred.

A few you didn't include, but I would: Ariel, Faye Valentine (from Cowboy Bebop), Belle, and Jasmine. Also, in her human form, Fiona from the Shrek movies.

I don't think I'm man or rabbit enough for her.

D'oh -- I can't believe I left out Faye Valentine. I should hand in my man badge. There are also many other manga and anime females of dubious legality, of course. Got to be careful here.
Also, in her human form, Fiona from the Shrek movies.
I'm afraid you get both her forms -- it's a package.

Jessica Rabbit is the hottest but there are some very kinky possibilities worth exploring with Elestigirl.

She would give a new meaning to the question "are you wearing a rubber?"

Gotta go with Wilma Flintstone myself.

That short dress worn off the shoulder... and you know cave-women don't wear panties. They hadn't been invented yet. She's enough to make the boy next door go "Bamm! Bamm!" all day long!

^Well that's going to be a problem when Bamm-Bamm hits puberty. I hope the Rubbles have comprehensive insurance agains earthquake and flood damage.

I also forgot to include June Jetson -- but I guess she's much the same as Wilma.

After seeing Marge Simpson's Playboy spread (seriously), there can be no contest. "Mmmm donuts..." :D
