Well I tried to like it but not fond of The Flash season 5

The Flash season 5 where do I start?

I'm about half way through and yeah I'll finish the season, just I don't think I like it very much to be honest. It's kind of annoying on me.

Cicada - Could this be the worst TV villain ever? A whole season of this Ugh!!!!!! not to mention the bad acting. Not sure if that's the director's fault though but it feels super forced and just bad.

The most annoying character is Cecile. If you don't know what to do with people can't you just write them out, unless they have a good contract because honestly she really doesn't add anything to the show. Oh yeah now she has her own sound effect. Since when did that happen, it is super bloody annoying.

I like Iris West now. Compared to Cecile she's nothing now, not that I ever had a problem with her. I didn't find her all that annoying like a lot of other people, but I do think still she did not deserve the role of team leader. That should have gone to Caitlin or Cisco.

So most annoying characters for me

There's a twist coming that you are either going to really hate or really love.

As a child I had a Flash comic from the 80s that did not make sense, where Cecile unmasks Barry in a court room, without his approval or foreknowledge, during his trial for killing the Reverse Flash, because I did not have any issues just before, or just after it.... Until 2 months ago...

Cecile is a legacy Character from pre Crisis Flash comics?

And then there's the pedigree of actress, she was in every other episode of Third Rock from the Sun as one of "Dick's" students, and she invented the Replicators on Stargate!

Flash does go downhill, and it may be from creating a shitty base of heroes for Barry to rely on, when he should just call in Kara to do his job every week.

But there's this theory...

I enjoyed the first season (the reverse flash made it)
The second was OK.
Went downhill from there, I stopped watching the one after Defoe. I'm surprised it's still running (no pun intended).

The show was going downhill by the time season 5 happened but it wasn't until Cisco and Kavenaugh left the show it got really bad. The final two seasons are especially terrible but I watched all of them.

Jeez, I never made it past season three.

I made it through S3, but S4 broke me. They had a main cast member who looked a lot like Rachel Weisz, and the show was still too boring to bother with continuing. (I gave up on Arrow during its S4, also.)

Season 4 and 5 were a bit of a slog from memory -- 2 episodes setting up the big bad, 20 episodes losing against him, then 2 episodes where they win.

I felt it got better after that, from memory the villain arcs became shorter.

BTW I did finish the series. It took till late November last year. The seasons after 5 did get even weirder and the quality did seem to drop.

I found myself not hating Iris as much as other people seem to do online. She really wasn't that bad. I even liked Cecile up to a point.

The stupidest story was all the godspeeds. That was just plain silly.

I don't think I will rewatch this one in a long, long time.

From what I can remember Season 5 with the Cicada storyline was pretty much the only one I didn't like.
