One site suggested installing a new browser.

So, if you currently have 2 browsers (eg, IE and FF), use the other, see what happenes.

If that doesn't work, d/l and install a different version of it and see how that goes. Or even Opera or something else entirely. Good luck.

Thanks. I nuked the hard-drive. I spent 5 days trying to kill the damn thing and then realized I could have blown up and restored the computer in three. I had virtually everything that mattered backed up.

It's a nasty bug. It also kept crashing the computer and I was doing most of my last minute saving work in "safe-mode". That seemed to generally work okay.

I don't know what idiots build these damn viruses. They think it's KEWL but fail to understand any moron can tear things down. What take skill and talent to to build SOMETHING--not just to rip things apart.
