Welcome to the Federation of Personal States

The Federation of Personal States is a small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 26 million hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 50%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime is totally unknown. Personal States's national animal is the beagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the credit.

So what are YOU waiting for?

Start your own nation!

If you already have a "Jennifer Government" nation, lets see it!

We're considered a "Civil Rights Lovefest" thank-you very much! ;)

You know, I still have mine from years ago. It's a bad habit I can't kick. Because it takes just 20s or so to update each day I tend to do it automatically when log on the internet. I don't do the roleplaying side of it, just address the issues quickly. It's a pretty accurate summary of what a country under my benevolent dictatorship would look like:

It's gotten pretty big over time (as the actress said to the bishop)

Economy: Frightening

Is that in a good way or a bad way?

I used to have one, but I don't know if it is still active... I used to do it very regularly until I had about a month span where I got the same 4 or 5 scenarios over and over and over again. It then got tedious and I let it go.

I believe many more scenarios have been added and now "players" who've reached a certain level can even add some.

I used to play and I actually own and read the book, is that enough participation? =)

All right--I'll play.

The Principality of Saxemberg

I've already been invited to join the Equilism region by the People's Equanimous Republic of Naivetry--"a constitutional Monarchy, with a Head of State as well as an Elected Body of Government, rooted in a strong history of democracy and freedom."

I'm not sure they knew who they were inviting.

Yet you cannot spell defense.

That's a stupid thing to say.
