Never fear, kev's here! :D Yeah, I checked out the page yesterday, and I thought I put in a post. Oh well.

Not much going on with me lately. I'm just curious; is anyone around here up on the Fiona Apple craze going on lately? Maybe not so much of a craze, as I really haven't hear anyone talking about it other than on the Internet. Since Sony has refused to put out her latest album which has been ready for the last few years or so, Fiona fans have taken to petitions and searching for leaked tracks online. I see articles that indicate their rumblings have been heard, but I guess we really don't know till we see a new Fiona CD. The latest news can be found on this site: FreeFiona.com

I think it's a shame that artists can't get their work out in the arena of public opinion without having to play up to bureaucracy. Any thoughts? Has anyone been talking about this here? Guess I'll check that general media section....
 
naw, i check it, its just that nothing happens. :lol: Anyways, i got my SATs back. While I didn't bomb them, i didn't do half as well as I could have, so I'm taking them again. I feel a lot better about my ACTs tho.

And when the hell am I gunna make Captain damnit! I don't spam to pay the bills! ;)

but seriously, what is the real ranking sytem on this board? Its not posted anywhere far as I can tell.
 
Other than the same old stuff (School, struggling to get laid, stuff like that :D ) nothing much is going on for me. Of course last weekend, I spend 2 days in San Francisco visiting Alcatraz, Coit Tower, the Cable Car Museum and then going to a Giants game. The was fun, even though I got my first sunburn of the year. The giants game was a personal thing, but the other stuff was continuing a school project I have to do for my SF Culture humanities class.
 
I've been pretty busy lately, looking for a new job. I've been on the phone hour and hours a day, and try to squeeze in a little bit of non-board fun too...so I'm afraid I've been negligent about this thread.

But I'm still here, and read everyone's posts. I'll be more active in it when things return to normal in life.

Man, you think that's bad! Wait'll you start that slow march to Fleet Captain, then have to go DOUBLE that to Commodore, then DOUBLE THAT to Rear Admiral, then DOUBLE THAT to Vice Admiral, then DOUBLE THAT.... the vicious cycle goes on and on!! :eek:

The crazy thing is, some people have made it all the way to the top, over 32,000 posts!! Dang :wtf:

Man, I was a Commie longer than I care to remember (it was blast tho :p). I'm RA now and I've got 3484 posts left (as of this post) to move on till the next notch. Whew!!
 
^ Well, only two have made it all the way to Fleet Admiral: Enterpriser and Huntingdon.

But just to put that in perspective, I have less than 20,000 posts...and registered only a month after Enterpriser...and a full 6 months *before* Huntingdon!

I've spent alot of time on this board over the years...so I can't even imagine how much time they have spent! :lol:
 
Checking out the DS9 BBS is the first thing I do as soon as I get home from work. It takes all my will power to not peek at it while I'm at work. I know if I do I'll never get anything else done. :lol:

I know I've seen plenty of people who registered after me get WAY beyond me in posts! (cue violins) I saw just about everyone I know come & go from the Commodore's Lounge, and though I was happy for them, I shed a tear, for I knew I would not know such commraderie again for quite some time. Yes, new folks came (and went), but it just wasn't the same. Till that fateful day when I finally rose to the Admiral ranks to join my friends once more.

Now I don't even bother to go in the Admiral Lounge. HA! :p :lol:
 
Good Morning all.

I've had a crappy few days. I don't know how, but I got sick on tuesday and, while it's getting better today, I still don't feel all that hot. Of course I had to come to school today so I wouldn't miss my accounting class, but this runny nose is annoying. :(

But we all know the Rear Admiral's Lounge is much better then that lounge of evil spammers :D

I watched two solid hours of DS9 for the first time today in ages. It was a glorious morning of Defiant and the one that came after it (my memory fails me)

Yeah, well, it didn't help much when we had to take in SB. :rolleyes: ;)
