Well I bought a digital camera on eBay last week. I got today, and so far I'm really happy with it. :D It's nothing special, fairly cheap and all, but it gets what I need it to do done. In case anyone cares, it's a Canon A400 (in blue). :D

I'm kinda curious about what this group things of my post about Baltar in the Bashir/Baltar thread.

Do you guys like this character???

Am I missing some deep insight here??? :p
I put in a little comment. I'm not nearly as disgusted with the character as you seem to be ;) But he isn't really the one keeping my interest on the show. I am confused by the link between him & Six, so I hope more of this is explained soon. Six really doesn't do much for me as far as sexual attraction. I think it's cause, like you said, she's an obvious plant. Grace Park however.... :p

BTW, how bout her glowing spine??

One thing that does interest me about Six is her passion for God. I think it's interesting that she talks about the "One True God" when some others have said "gods". I wonder if she shares a belief that the Cylons have developed. I haven't really formed all my thoughts about this, so I may say more later. I like that Moore has included religion of different forms. I wouldn't expect it to be lost in the future.

Hey guys, I'm new to the station. I reported for duty this afternoon and Col Kira asked me to put on a red shirt and report to the runabout pad at 0700 for a dangerous mission. I'm kindof pumped to be going on an away mission with Kira, Dr. Bashir, Quark the Ferengi bartender, and Lt. Nog. But something tells me I won't need to unpack my suitcase...

Hey all! I'm new to the BBS and just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to the board Quo Vadimus! And just make sure you're not the 1st or last one to step into or out of the transporter, shuttlecraft, or line of fire

Hey, Jean Prouvaire, I wondered what happened to the wormlike moving-block avatar guy  Who's the cutie in the av now?

^^^ Hi Quo Vadimus... I don't suppose your user name is from an episode of Sports Night by chance? :)

Why yes Jean Prouvaire yes it is. I'm impressed that you knew that! I loved Sports Night, almost as much as Firefly but, alas, both were cancelled and live on only in my DVD collection.

Thanks all for the welcome!

The lego worms will be back... the current avatar was a Valentine's Day special which I haven't had the heart (nyuk nyuk) to replace yet. (And why would I want to?!) I'll pass on the complimentary words. :D

It's a damn shame the Sports Night DVDs were so barebones. I would have loved to have had commentaries and such. The moment in the second season finale when Dana realises what "Quo Vadimus" meant was heart-breaking (in a joyous way). It's a damn shame that the show was renewed in fiction but not in fact. :(

Thanks for the warning kevsthman! I new I was in trouble when Dr. Bashir suggested I add a eerily familiar concentric ring pattern to the front and back of my uniform. Adding insult to injury, there was also a large red arrow and boldfaced text ("Shoot here") pointing to the middle circle and something about a "bullseye"...

I was a little dissappointed as well with the lack of special features but I suppose just having the series is the important part! That show had the wittiest dialogue...

Natalie: The boys at Sigma-Sigma-Pi let me play in their poker games all the time, why do think they let me?
Jeremy: 'Cause you're a knockout and your parents are loaded?
Natalie: No, 'cause I've got game baby

Oh well, I wish they would have removed the frelling laugh track though!

First off, welcome to the DS9 forum Quo Vadimus. :)

Second, hey all. Sorry I havn't been on that much in the past few days, but life is really busy, with due dates and tests coming up. Also, to celebrate yesterday, I went to the movies again (This time with my mom) and we finally did see Million Dollar Baby, and I saw Sideways. Both were really good movies, but I think I liked Sideways much better, mainly because it was a comedy, and it had a great and IMO appropriate ending. Now that I have seen all the best picture Nominees, I think I am rooting for Sideways to win. It was that good, and maybe even better than Finding Neverland. I think Aviator will win though but I thought Sideways was a better movie.

If anyone has seen the movie, did you understand why they called it Sideways. I've been trying to figure that out since I saw it and the only thing I can think of is the main characters life and how it didn't really change for the better or for the worse throughout the movie. It was just moving Sideways.

Thanks for the welcome tomalak301. I can't remember the last time a comedy won the top Oscar. I have yet to see any of those movies but they are on my list to watch once they come to DVD. So you liked Sideways better than Million Dollar Baby? I have a good friend who swears up-and-down about how Clint Eastwood was screwed over by LOTR last year. Was Million Dollar Baby better than Mystic River?

I havn't seen Mystic River yet, but I would probably still agree with your friend. I am one of those people who find LOTR to be one of the most overrated movies ever in film-making so seeing it win all the awards last year made the show a joke. I'm sure there are many other award catigories and people who felt the same way.

While I truly did enjoy the LOTR saga, I believe that Fellowship (the first one) was the best one and it got screwed over by A Beautiful Mind. If there is anything we do agree on it's that the Oscars are a sham... obejectifying art, saying this film is better than that film, is impossible!

Just another note to say hello, Quo Vadimus. Hope you enjoy the board and the DS9 forum. :)

BigFoot, excited to hear about your camera! You'll have to take pictures for us and post them in here! :)

tomalak, glad you stopped in, even if you are busy! Been seein' alot of movies though, it seems, and that's always a good thing! I heard Sideways is a really good movie. We are hoping to see it soon ourselves!

I'll have my g/f take a few pics of me tomorrow. Hopefully one of them will look at least semi-human. :D

^ I know that feeling. I am perhaps the least photogenic person on earth.

The harder I try NOT to blink in a picture, the more likely I am to do so!

I HATE that!!!

Thanks Vash. I don't try to see a lot of movies, but with the oscars coming up and what happened on friday, this weekend was an exception. This is the first year I would have seen all the best picture nominees before the show, so that is a good thing. Sideways is a great movie, even though there is a bunch of swearing and one of the funniest scenes involving nudity I have ever seen. I'll leave it at that. :D

^Either Sideways or Finding Neverland. I would probably lean towards Sideways though because FN was a bit slow (Even though Depps performence was great) and Sideways was laugh out loud funny.
