Oh...and as for DragonCon.....Kevsthaman and BigFoot - consider yourselves with an open invitation to stay at Chez Coaster & Vash. We'd LOVE to meet both of you guys. And BigFoot - you can bring your girlfriend too.
THANKS VASH!! If I come (which I'm thinking is all but a done deal), I'll be with another friend, one of my old roomates from college. I wouldn't want to impose too much on the homestead by having too many fellas around. However, I want to come by to catch a Babylon 5 marathon; so we might be there all night anyway!

And of course, I'm definitely looking forward to meeting my sis :D

Well, I bought a digital camera on eBay today. I saved quite a bit of cash on it, so that's cool. Hopefully everything will go through smoothly. :)

Anyway, one more post and I'll be promoted to Vice Admiral. I remember back when I was promoted to a Read Admiral, I thought I'd never reach the next rank. Well, I guess I did. :D

That's how I feel now, except for me it's probably true!

Congrats though!

Congrats Bigfoot.

Hey Kevs,

Don't feel too bad. I just got promoted and I feel that I will never reach the next rank. ;)

^ Thanks man. :)

So how's everyone doing? This thread has been a bit quiet lately.

Well, I've been very busy with school. I've had three midterms in the last week. The first two were reasonably hard. The one today was really easy though. It took me 8 minutes to do it (30 multiple choice questions). :)

Anyway, I also had my fingerprints taken today. :D That was an interesting experience, especially the icky stuff you use to get the ink off afterwards. Oh yeah, I'm betting everyone's wondering why I had to get it done? :D Cos I'll be doing a project for the Canadian government about six weeks from now, and everyone needs to pass a security test. Well, for non-canadian citizens that also includes a fingerprint test thingy.

Oh yeah, one other thing. Whenever I've gone out, shopping for DVDs I always tried to find Pirates of the Caribbean for a decent price. But usually they prices were a bit outrageous (about $30 CDN). Well, I found it for $16.99 CDN today, so I of course got it right away. :D

So you're working for the Feds are you? :p I didn't have to get my fingerprints done with I was hired, but then again I've lived here for 20 years.

Hey all.

I'm happy tonight. I get a four day weekend this weekend and plan to go to the movies tomarrow. I plan to see Million Dollar Baby which hopefully will good. I also have a quite a bit of homework, but I procrastinate and the weekend just started. :D

I'm here too...though have been busy with some stuff off-board and some goofin around in other forums, which I've not done in a long time.

Glad your tests are over, BigFoot! Hope you did well on all of them! And that's a good price you got on Pirates! It's a great movie, and is certainly worth owning, IMO.

tomalak301, hope you have a nice 4 day weekend, and that you like the movie. I've not seen it yet, but I've heard it is really good. :)

Thanks Vash. :) Well, I already know I passed the first one. And I'm pretty sure I did ok on the other too aswell. So no worries. And yeah, Pirates is definately a fun film (I saw it twice at the theatre, and my g/f's parents own it), I just didn't wanna spend an arm and a leg on it. :D

They did the ink one? Last time I got one of those done was for FAA security stuff two years ago and they did it all with the electronic finger print things. No ink necessary.

Good Evening all.

I had a pretty intersting day. My friend and I went to the movies, but we ended up going to two different movie theaters. It started with us planning to see Million Dollar Baby which was something I've been looking foward to for quite a while. We got our tickets and we were ready for the movie but then it didn't start on time. The movie was supposed to start at 1:00, but there were problems with the projector. We were than told at 10 after that there would be a 5 minute delay. Than, the staff people came out and said that they didn't know what the problem was, and they couldn't show the movie. I was dissappointed, but we were able to get a refund, and get a voucher for any free movie showing at that theaters company (Century Theaters for those in the Bay Area) that was showing as a bargin matinee.

We than decided that the others movies showing were either starting at later times, or were crap, so we left and went up, from the South bay pininsula (Redwood City) to another century theaters closer to San Fransisco (Daly City). We ended up seeing Hitch, which wasn't that bad. I did notice though that it fell into the same trap any other romantic comedy falls in. It felt like I have seen this movie several times before in the likes of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Bruce almighty.

Other than this experiance and it being the first time It's ever happened to me, it was still a pretty decent day.

In case any of you Farscape nuts in here didn't notice this, meowwwwwww is running a Farscape trivia in SF&F. Round 2 started today, and it'll be open until monday evening. Here's the link. :)

I'm kinda curious about what this group things of my post about Baltar in the Bashir/Baltar thread.

Do you guys like this character???

Am I missing some deep insight here??? :p

^ I just replied to your post in that thread. Like I said, I don't really hate Baltar, I do however find a lot of his storylines very annoying. And I can't stand Six.
