Another friday, and another great episode of BSG. ;)

Well, this was part two of a Starbuck story, and I thought it was awesome, and confirmed my hooking to this show. It was a bit slow in parts, but I still really liked it. It was cool to see what was inside the Cylon ship and learn that there is a third type of Cylon now. The human/Cylon, the Robots, and the ships. I can't wait to see how retrieving a Cylon ship will reflect the storyline.

I think what gelled the episode for me though was the end and the showdown between Starbuck and Apollo. I loved the flying, and the nice touch with the Star on one end and Buck on the other. I was cracking up laughing. I also liked the waggle move at the end. What a great touch.

I'm glad they touched on Adama's feelings after what he told Starbuck last week. (And I did see last weeks episode before this one) There were two other great scenes. One was when Adama was explaining to Lee why he did what he did. The other was the scene at the end with Starbuck and Adama.

I say this was the second best episode of the season, right behind Bastille Day. I do plan to tape the first two episodes tomarrow on the USA because I really am liking the series and want to give those two another chance. This episode though hooked me both on the Series and made Starbuck my favorite character.

Love the waggle waggle. :D

*sigh* I hate how Canada's a week behind. We just saw the first episode of that two-parter.

So what's everyone been up to? Me and my g/f are gonna go suitcase-shopping today. As some of you know, we're moving back to my place in july, so she's gonna need another suitcase. :)

I also got myself a new avatar. It's a comic-book drawing of a character (Summer) from The O.C. drawn by another character on the show (Seth). I was just gonna have a still pic, but my g/f suggested I make it move. I'm still not sure which one looks better.

Oh, me and my g/f are also getting thru' the second volume of Farscape Starburst Edition. We watched Mad DNA Scientist and They've got a secret last night. You know, I actually enjoyed both of those eps more now, on a second viewing, then I did when I first saw them.

My next mission is gonna be to get my g/f to watch the BSG mini with me. :D She doesn't have a problem with watching it, but we gotta find a night where we can sit down and watch all three hours of it in one sitting, which can be a bit of a problem. :D

Dang, I missed BSG this Friday! I must've set the VCR incorrectly; I got SG-1 instead. Boo! Well, thankfully they're showing all 5 eps on Sci-Fi this Tuesday. Goodie, I can catch the 1st ep, which I missed the first umpteenth times they showed it

Shame about the Eagles. Sigh :(

Y'all have a great week. I'll be around, just wanted to throw that out there!

^ Make sure you watch all the eps of BSG you've missed man. :) It's a really good show, so you definately don't wanna miss any of them.

I take it that Eagles losing thing is about the Super Bowl? I don't care much for football, so I didn't even know it was taking place today until someone mentioned it earlier. :)

Oh yeah, I switched back to my regular avatar. If anyone wants to see my The O.C. av, here it is (the static version):

I too am glad they are showing BSG this tuesday. I've really grown to like the show, but I was very indifferent to the first two episodes, even though many others around here were saying it was the best thing since sliced bread (Personally, BSG will never surpass Farscape in terms of a great Sci-fi series but that is just me) and I screwed up taping the two shows on USA last weekend. I'll tape them again tomarrow night.

Hi guys!

Hope you all are well.

I've been taking a bit of time (pretty much) off this past week - I've been really busy with work and have been kinda burnt out in any event with alot of stuff around here....

But I'm pretty much back now.

I see you all had some fun with Jammer on Saturday. :p We haven't had a thread like that in a long time!

Oh well...at least it will maybe shut up all the people who insist that Jammer doesn't read the board, anyway! :p

Wow, where was that? I miss a weekend, and Jammer opens up! Well, to be fair, I miss a lot of weekends here, but still.... ;)

^ SirRocko711 has disappeared, apparently. :(

Is there not ONE person out there who is capable of running the DS9 "Caption This" without disappearing?????

^Don't go touching my gagh! :p

I'm really considering making DragonCon in Atlanta, GA my first convention experience. It's so close and such a good price, it's almost a no brainer!

This is what I wanna know though, where do folks get those neat costumes!?? I need a Klingon head piece and a white monks outfit or something. I'll bring a frying pan or something with me

See the avatar. Here is my other infamous avatar for more reference ;)

^ I wish I could help you out with the whole outfit thing buddy. :) But I know that if I had the chance, I'd love to go to DragonCon. It just sounds like so much fun. :D

Oh yeah, in case some of you don't pay attention to the SF&F section, or you haven't heard about this for some other reason: Battlestar Galactica has been renewed for a second season. :D

I just saw that about BSG. Very cool!! I taped the run they had on Tuesday, so I'll have to review the eps I missed and get ready for more this Friday!

Wasn't BSG aired somewhere else before Sci-Fi ran it in the US?

It was ran in the UK.

I heard about the renewal yesterday. Great news.

First, great news about BSG.

I don't post in SFF cus it's just too doggone crowded in there. But I am very pleased with this news. Thanks for posting. We have been watching BSG with great interest - it's a fantastic show.

Of course, we are watching SG-1 and Atlantis too. I've loving both of those - espeically Atlantis. I love SG-1, but I was getting a bit bored with it after so many years of the same characters. Atlantis offers some new faces and personalities...and some cool new enemies!

Oh...and did I mention that Joe Flanigan is HOT???????

Whoa BABY!!! He's hotter than Michael Shanks!

Oh...and as for DragonCon.....Kevsthaman and BigFoot - consider yourselves with an open invitation to stay at Chez Coaster & Vash. We'd LOVE to meet both of you guys. And BigFoot - you can bring your girlfriend too.

I've heard it's gonna be really good this year....

Hey guys,

Earlier this week, I taped Sci-fi's encore presentation of the first five episodes of Battlestar and last night, I saw the first two. These were the two I had mixed feelings about, and when I read the reviews after the show originally aired, I thought it was really overrated.

Well, I saw them last night, and they were much better the second time around. I think as we get into the 6th episode, you really start to feel for the characters, so that probably makes an episode like 33 all the more terrific. It's funny that in the last three, we really havn't had much Gius and Six like we did in these first two episodes. At first I was getting annoyed with that storyline, it really isn't as bad as before. Also, the camera work isn't as bothersome as I originally thought.

While they were both terrific, 33 was somewhat better. Water was still a bit slow, while 33 had a tone of great drama, leading up to the destruction of the carrier. Every week this show gets better and better and I actually find myself anxious for the next week. I havn't really felt this way in a long time. The last show I really was anxious for was Farscape, and the last episode before the mini was like 2 or 3 years ago.

Awww, thanks Vash. We'd both love to come, and it would definately be awesome to meet you and mrcoaster. The problem is that we can't afford it right now. We're moving back to my place, which is gonna be expensive (shipping stuff over), and we're also getting a new car. Not to mention the fact, that we'll already be in Europe when the Con takes place.
Thanks for the offer though. :)
