If you are trying to lose wieght or gain muscle weight, come post it here. Post it by week or month.

I will start.
I lost lbs and was done to 150, but as everyone knows its easier to gain weight than to lose it. I am now 175.

I go to school in August. by that time I would like to be 165-160.

So This week I weighed myself at
174.
Next week weight goal
172.

I've been holding steady at around 215 for the last year or so. I'd love to lose my gut and be around 230 with added muscle mass.

I wanna reduce weight across my thies. SO looking for some suggestions?

You can't reduce weight on a specific part of your body. All you can do is burn calories overall and hope that your thighs cooperate.

Low impact exercises, walking, bicycle.
I know some people to even jump rope to loss wieght, that would target your legs as well. But its not low impact.
A stair master, or eliptical.

It would target the leg muscles, but it is impossible to target fat on a specific part of your body.

Right, I meant to add that to the end, but got distracted. Yeah it will cause you to lose weight all around, but make your legs strong. Just make sure your strength is universal. Don't just work on your arms and chest and leave your legs alone. I see where that hurts someone.

When I was "bulking" I was trying for 270-280, I hit 272. That was Dec 2010. I'm hovering around 250 right now, and might try for 240 around summer time.

My winter "bulk" turned into a winter "fat and lazy." I was pretty much out of commission for 2 months because of my shoulder.

My new job has me sitting at a desk all day, and I am definitely noticing the fat collecting in the tummy region. My old job had be on my feet walking around the whole time. I need to adjust my diet accordingly and increase my cardio.

In Dec I was also lifting my heaviest, so much of it was muscle, even my jackets didn't fit my shoulders and lats. It was one of my better bulks...less fat content, coming off of it a few months ago I measured my bodyfat at 13.7%.

Nice. I've finally gotten back into heavier lifting this past month, and I'm putting most of my focus on the big compound moves. Deadlifts and squats are my new best friends.

Just weighed myself.
I am afraid that I didn't meet my weight goal.
I am only 173. So 1lb. But that could be that I don't have any food in me.
My weight goal at this point is still 172.

"Weight" is such an inaccurate measure anyway. There are so many things that can factor in. Food sitting in your stomach. Water weight. Muscle mass vs. Body fat.

Muscle is heavier than fat, so even if you've lost fat, you still might end up weighing more.

Yes I had to stop doing so many exercise trying to build muscle becuase I wanted to get down to 160-165. I can't with bigger muscles, see any improvement, thats why I do simple dumbell execrises to keep the muscle I already have. Then when I get down to 160-165 I can then build those lean muscles that I want. I don't want to be hulk hogan, just lean.

I'm not sure what this means. You don't see improvement with bigger muscles? Do you just mean your weight?

I'm just trying to figure out why you need to lose weight, when to be healthy you should really be trying to lose fat. It's actually easier to lose fat with more muscle mass.
