Weeping Angels are back thanks to bigbang?

So i was thinking, if Human Rory came back from the cracks after the big bang (and everything else IN THE UNIVERSE went back to normal) wouldnt it make sense that the weeping angels would be back? since they werent killed but instead thrown into the crack in space and time?

Does this actually make sense or am i off my rocker?

They appear in the trailer for Series6 Part2, so they've been reset along with everything else.

Also, you probably are off your rocker, but not because of this ;)

A couple weeping angels were erased, not the species, unless one of the angels who fell into the crack was instrumental to their origin...

Actually, wouldn't it have been weird if Jeff had just popped into place as Amy's boyfriend if Rory had never existed in that episode?

I agree with Guy Gardner; I got the impression that the Angels in the two-parter were just a group of Angels, not the whole post-Blink species.

Well I doubted we'd seen the last of them. It's good to see the popularity of new enemies.

They were brown underpants time in blink.

How would they work against a Dalek, a Cyberman or a Raston Warrior?

Well here's hoping they've been reset back to their original 'Blink' versions.
The new novel by Jonathan Morris, Touched By An Angel, features the Angels as the Big Bad, and they have an interesting modus operandi that's not quite "Blink" and not quite "Flesh and Stone."

I admit, I'm not that far into the book, but what they're doing is...

...sacrificing one of their own in the present to send someone into their recent past (a la "Blink"), where hopefully that person will create a time paradox, thus releasing temporal energy that they can feed on (which Angel Bob says the Angels want in "Time of the Angels" and "Flesh and Stone").

The book also shows a heavy influence of The Time Traveler's Wife. I'd also compare it to David Nicholls' One Day. Maybe if those two books had a bastard love child, and there was a TARDIS involved... :)

Actually
I think it might just be a cameo of the Angels or an illusion in the hotel

I rather enjoyed Time Travellers Wife and loved One Day, so I might very well have to order this from the library.

I don't recall there being anything in Flesh and Stone/Time of Angels to suggest the Weeping Angels as a race had been eliminated, just that particular batch, so all The Big Bang did was restore those dozen or two Angels, and probably the soldiers as well.

^ The adventure would still have happened without the cracks, wouldn't it? Ouir heroes probably saved several of them in that case.

What happens to a weeping angel when you attack them with a chisel and a hammer?

Could you re-sculpt one and have it bleed to death when you are not looking at it?

What about drilling through it's heart with a masonry drill bit?

Or are they made from something that is impossibly strong but looks like regular stone/marble?

^^Good question. Ever since I first heard the Doctor say "but you can't kill a stone" in Blink I've wondered what would happen if someone took a sledgehammer to one of them.

That''s not them.

Quantum superposition.

They are either there or not there, and they're not there when we see the statues.

However the place holding statues do seem to reflect the angels health/position.
