Projected at $36million on deadlinehollywooddaily.com
I think so, and no that would be a good number. And this needed its own thread?
That number would be a pretty big disappointment btw and would signal to me Trek will not make over 180 Mil Domestic.

That's projecting a 46% drop, which is average for a film in it's 2nd week. And it will easily make over 180 million. 200 is in the bag at this point, the question is can it possibly make 300 million.
Besides I would not be suprised if this tops A&D .
There's amazing concensus that Paramount's No. 1 monster hit from last weekend, Star Trek, won't lose much momentum. It's put in some very solid numbers midweek. So this weekend it probably will be down only 45% for a $36M finish. (Though some think it could reach $40M because of the great word of mouth.)
You're not going to be happy unless it rakes in 50 mil in a day, are you?And this needed its own thread?

Looks up at the sky--still there, whew.
The same article also says that Wolverine "still has legs", so I'd take it with a hefty grain of salt.
Just talked to a neighbor's kid my son's known for 8 years out walking our boxer, him walking their lab. So the dogs are playing and I chat a bit. Seen any good movies lately? Gonna see Star Trek tonight with a few friends.

I think they're saying Wolverine still has legs because its weekday drops have been dramatically smaller than X2's drops for the comparable time period. It's still only going to make $12 million or so this weekend.

Hey, is it just my math or is $38 million more than a 45% drop from $75 million. I think its like a 50% drop.

Nikki seems to be a bit mathematically challenged. She writes "So this weekend it probably will be down only 45% for a $38M second-place finish." But $38 million would be a 49.5% drop, not a 45% drop. So which is it? Down 45% or $38M?
