Wednesday Box Office - #5 - $0.9 million

It will lose 564 theaters on Friday, down to 2638 which is still a good number of theaters:

Indeed, that's a respectable number of theatres for a film that’s been around for 30+ days. It really shows the strength this film is holding on at the box office; kudos to a great film that deserves it. Nemesis opened at 2700 theatres if I recall, with the most ridiculous theatrical run in the franchise's history.

Nemesis was just a terrible movie , a sad way for the TNG crew to go out. Insurrection and Nemesis are not good indicators on how good of a job that cast did in those roles. I loved that series and First Contact was awesome.

Good hold for Trek, it has staying power. It would nice to see an 8% increase for 1m on Thursday, and of course a less than moderate drop this weekend. 250m domestic is still within reach I should say.

Actual number for Trek in - Wednesday; $909,830 / $225,473,885

boxoffice.com is predicting 5.6 million.

I dare say that Land of the Lost will fall like a stone and Star Trek will end up ahead of it, too...

Glad to see the theater drain isn't too bad... about the same for T4 and A&D, even though those two are on crutches, their legs are so bad... :p

I think at the end of the run, 350m-400m world wide might be possible. I was looking at figures for other films and it seems that a lot of the figures for countries seem to just trickle in over a few months.

Went to showing #8 tonight, fifth time on IMAX. Also, drove about 400 miles around SoCal too. My head hurts now.

You didn't drive that far to see it in IMAX, did you? You sound like me with the headache; sorry about that.

Batman Begins made 20 Mil after this day in its time frame and Superman Returns made 13 Mil after this day in its time frame. If we take that ST has made more than both, if Trek goes on the same path these films did we could expect between 20-25 Mil from now til the end. That would leave us right on the cusp of 250 Mil or maybe even a little more.

Damnit, why is Terminator still in more theatres!

And why is Land of the Lost picking up theaters?!?

Okay, now I'm 2 viewings behind you... need that IMAX here to get the movie soon!

How far you've come, Similitude... :p

It seems if Star Trek makes approx $250 million, Paramount expectations was dead on the money. Big question is now how foreign numbers can meet up to Paramount $150 million expectations?. I have a feeling Transformers and Harry Potter movie are going to prevent Star Trek from crossing the $250 million mark. I predict $245 million.

Yeah, it looks like Trek will either just barely eke out $250 mil or end up just shy of the figure. Whatever... I'm already looking forward to the sequel :)
