Well as I've said many times I get why she likes him, and he's a safe person to have a practice relationship with, he will only treat her well. As to why he likes her, perhaps he needs someone a bit more vulnerable to feel more of a man and protector with (protector being an element of his personality IMO) after Seska broke his balls and Janeway let him know it wasn't going anywhere.

As for my suggestions, I haven't talked to anyone personally who wanted to help out, but it couldn't hurt to do a general shout out on Tumblr. I mostly hang around the J/7 folks, but things have a tendency to spread around quickly to the entire fandom, especially on Tumblr.

Actually, in general, I think the J/C pairing is probably the pairing that is the most commonly accepted among those who have different preferences about pairings with Janeway or Chakotay.

EDIT: I forgot to mention. Tumblr sounds like an efficient way to communicate. I've never really been on Tumblr, so I'm not sure how it works. A general shout out sounds good, though.

I'm not sure if I feel anything particular, but it's something that works. To me J/C makes sense, especially Seaons 1 to 3, because I could see it happening. J/7 also makes sense to me, because I could see that happening too. Well, perhaps not in the series itself, but you know what I mean. C/7 doesn't make sense to me, because I never saw it happening on screen and there were never any sparks between the two. I blame Janeway, that woman can cast a look at an inanimate object and make it look cute.

I think it would be fair to say that there would be some giddiness involved if it was J/7, because it's my preferred pairing, but I'm not losing any sleep over the fact that it's not.

Also let me say this should not turn into a shipper wars thread. This forum, since I've been here anyway, has been completely mature about people having different shipping preferences. Both J/C and J/7 are equally massive in tumblr land where shipping is very big. Here it seems (to me anyway) that the big focus is on JANEWAY first, and yes of course she can have anyone she likes LOLOL Maybe it's my own bias but everyone else is quite secondary.

You don't get this with Picard or Sisko or Archer. Once again Janeway is more like Kirk than the other captains.

Exactly, we don't want to have a fight. I was just pointing out that the script is leaning toward J/C and I wanted to see if anyone had anything they wanted to say about that. It appears everything is fine, so no worries.

I should probably get on Tumblr and explore the Voyager fandom for myself to see if there are any useful talented fans that we can sucker into this production, muahahaha!

The Game of Thrones one is fantastic, and I absolutely love the nuBSG one (because that music is simply gorgeous). The Gilligan theme was funny.
