We should do our own 'star trek voyager'

:) Human Lipton: We can either get the meerkats, or if that turns out to not work, make our own sort of puppets. Cardboard cut-outs of starfleet uniforms and various costumes with faces of the characters pasted on should be fairly easy to do.

:vulcan: Vulcan Lipton: The logical choice would be to go with JanewayRulz!'s photomanipulation suggestion. There is a greater chance that we would be able to get fans who would be willing to photoshop or repurpose images to use as visuals to accompany an audio production than the probability of us getting puppeteers and someone to film the production. We would also be able to start the project sooner, which would greatly increase the chances of us completing it.

Uh oh... split personality disorder forming!.

Oh, Lipton :rommie:.

JanewayRulz: I applaud you for these last few scenes. The debriefing scenes were exceptional. :bolian:

I must say that I absolutely loved the scene with the Doctor and Kate Pulaski, and the Doctor's witty quips! Loved it :)

Also, the scene of the final verdict with the charges cleared was bittersweet, and Janeway receiving the medal of honor was fantastic. It nearly made me tear up.

And the ending was fantastic. I cannot wait for all of you to do this!

Can you tell in the "debriefing" that I was a regular on a Voyager discussion board at the time? ;) I LOVED taking all those lod arguments against our crew and turning them on their ears. :klingon:

Speaking of ears, I think Tuvok's debriefing was my favorite.

People asked me "Way back then" (when I first wrote/posted this) why I didn't promote Janeway, and gave her a medal instead. The main reason was what Kirk told Picard...(Paraphrased) "Never let them promote you... as long as you are sitting in that chair you CAN make a difference!"

As for the ending... everything from Kes to the last time she was given the "present" was obviously just THIS fangirl's wishfullfillment. :bolian:

You certainly paid impeccable attention to detail, and to all the trials and tribulations that our crew went through over the years.

Oh, Tuvok's debriefing was great; I love that that Vulcan always has the best dead-pan humour lines. He says them stoically, but they're absolutely hilarious!

I like that Janeway didn't get promoted, and it does seem to make more sense after all that she did, that perhaps Starfleet would want her around in a command position and not chained to a desk.

I'm all for wishfulfillment, especially if it's anything to do with J/C ;)

Right on! And yes, I feel a little Vulcan now and then.

Teacake: So, what do you say we scope out the situation on a puppeteer/camera operator thing? Where would we look? I think, at this point, we should get more information on that. What do you say?

...alas Teacake is not one of them. ;) I hope the "minimalist" J/C in my trilogy doesn't put her off.
Oh dear... I haven't seen her around the BBS as much lately. Hopefully, that's not the reason and she's just busy. (j/k)

Yes, I think J/C works just fine when they get home. I understand it could be a problem when they're on a ship that she's commanding. IMO Seven should have found a way to end up with Auxum. When she got home, her next voyage should have been to help the Unimatrix Zero people. (A/7)

Oh I have no problem with J/C, in fact I think it is lovely. Here is my favorite J/C pic:

(And seriously of course I only want Janeway to be happy, so whoever she picks I as her lover I will support her! Stupid stupid stupid Treklit for thinking she was better off DEAD! @#$%)

WONDERFUL!!!
This is awesome and exactly the way Voyager should have ended.

JanewayRulz, you really did a great job. Thank you! :techman:

loving this thread, just read it through and made me laugh harder than i have done all weekend... love it :D

A fellow C/7 hater!

You should check out my other tome... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQvk...VDvjVQa1PpcFNT9jH7Q0EPv_Jwlqi8SXrhOxI7i-d404g= promo by possum.

JanewayRulz!: Very good, very interesting!!! I will have to check it out in a few hours.

teacake: Yes, killing her off is the worst possible option. And I lol'ed at the spoiler pic!

P. S. I can do PM's now... so it should be easier to communicate some things. So, who wants to scope out the fan production form or some such place and see how things are on the puppet people front? ;) I am willing to do it.

Man, that was a joy to read, JanewayRulz! Very well done!

It seems that no matter how this will be done, the only way the writing would be done justice is when the real actors are involved.

As for the anti C/7 element that crept in here somewhere; as a J/7 afficionado, you've found a supporter in me as well. Let's not make that mistake again :shifty:

As Teacake will attest, I'm a firm "It's MATERNAL" when it comes to J/7... but I can still appreciate the vids for the ship.

This one can go "either" way. ;)

Even sociology admits it goes both ways. I recently read a book called Gender and Sexuality in Star Trek. It's got a chapter on Janeway and Seven. No matter if you see that relationship as maternal or romantic, you'll never be able to see those two the same way before reading that. I can only imagine what the writer was smoking when he wrote that book.

I seem to remember being on some fanfic websites some years ago, and I found a very old J/7 fic. The site it was on (which I don't remember the name of and most likely no longer exists) said it was the oldest J/7 fic they could find. In the fic, the author acted like it was a new concept.

Originally, I suspect J/7 might have been a joke, as the fic was a parody of characters being at odds with one another because they really loved each other. It was so funny, I spit lentils all over the screen. Could that have been the start of it? Who knows.

I've always seen Janeway as a sort of mother/mentor figure for Seven, and Seven as sort of a troubled/slightly rebellious child. I never saw an iota of a romantic overtone between them.

I'm not a fan of C/7 myself, and J/7 I just do not see as anything other than a mother/daughter relationship. Romance? Nope, never saw any of that.

Teacake: I lol'd at your spoiler pic. Even as a J/Cer I can appreciate some good fun like that ;)

Lipton: I agree with you about your analysis of J/7. I always thought that Seven was a bit of a child in an adult's body because of the lack of social development that she had as a Borg. Also, your avatar is awesome

And yes, killing Janeway off is the worst idea out there. Ugh, curse you Before Dishonor :klingon:

teacake: Yes, Seven is very brave and very strong intellectually, in terms of efficiency and work and all that, but I've come to realize that socially she is about 10 years old, maybe younger.

So I can't see Chakotay going after her... I just think TPTB wanted a romance in the series finale and that's the best they could come up with after Mulgrew refused to be part of it. Chakotay going after Seven is weak writing, in my opinion. That's the way I look at it. Sorry.

mm..well I think sometimes after being so isolated with only their crew for 7 years people form alliances they wouldn't in a normal setting. I bet B'Elanna would see Tom as too much of a goof to bother with, especially when her whole life was about supporting the Maquis. Mess around with a frat boy? Not likely. But you get to know people really well in those close quarters and you're bound together by your dependance on each other so romances will happen that are intense and not as likely as back home.
