I'm ready for more. I really can't wait until some official cast photos come out, some of the photoshopped ones look pretty good. Part of me hopes they don't screw with the ship too much, but I kinda doubt they will, and I can't wait to see the ship no matter what it is.

the cast photos are almost certainly gonna be he first thing to emerge, which will tell us or imply tonnes about the new film - its time period, look, costuming, make up, the general 'feel' of the film (with the lighting, pose, background, etc).

How about some lies to tide you over?

1. Zachary Quinto will also play Sarek in old-age makeup, with his lines overdubbed by Leonard Nimoy.
2. Dakota Fanning is being sought for the role of Trelane's little sister.
3. Tom Stoppard and Akiva Goldman are going to write the second draft of the screenplay.
4. Steven Spielberg, Wong Kar-wai, Tony Blair and Indira Gandhi are all set to do minor cameos. It is rumoured that Blair will be the man who convinces Kirk to go into Starfleet.
4. Alessandra Mussolini has been tapped for the role of a Romulan Senator.
5. Chris Pine's Kirk will die early into the movie, forcing Christopher Pike - played by John Travolta - into a leading man position. Uma Thurman has been tapped by the Weinsteins (secretly involved with this production) as Number One.
6. Peter Bogdanovich will appear and interview our heroes, and then provide an insightful commentary during the entire movie.
7. Rumours that Michael Giacchino will write an absolutely superb score are completely unfounded.

There you go. Now, in all seriousness, just relax, be patient, and do something else for a while. The film will come out no matter how much or little you fret over it.

This is outrageous. We all know that it was a time-travelling super-powered Gary Mitchell who who talked Kirk into going to the academy, and Blair is totally, totally wrong for Mitchell. I'm not saying it woull destroy the film, but if he's in it...well, my enjoyment will crash and burn, and it will prove J.J. Abrams doesn't care about continuity.

This, on the other hand, I'm OK with.

The film will come out no matter how much or little you fret over it.
