The month I predicted. Seemed logical

Often actors need to know schedules in order to work.. But that's why I put "may have". Still it's a pretty good bet reinforced this latest info.Actors on projects are rarely reliable inside sources about studio decision making, and moviepilot is a pretty vapid click-bait site...

"Actors need to know" and "actors are reliably told" are not the same thing.
An agreement to promote it might affect their schedule at the time of the premiere. But you're right, that schedule information isn't necessarily provided to them six months in advance. Schedules can change and everyone adjusts.Actors need to know when shooting is, not when something premieres. One affects their work schedule, the other doesn't.
What's wrong with that? We already knew it wouldn't meet its May date, and although no date has been announced, all sources were saying "fall." If anything, September's good. They could easily wait until December, as that is still technically "fall" on the calendar.September? September?!?! Damn, damn, double damn!
"It'll air... probably in the Fall. Maybe September-ish."

You mean like a Satanic first officer?A shame, I think it would be interesting and cool to have a creepy and disturbing looking alien be a good guy, sort of a don't judge by appearances thing.
They know they'll be working/shooting till September according to reports. That's towards the end of when post production should be done on the first episodes they shot.Actors need to know when shooting is, not when something premieres. One affects their work schedule, the other doesn't.
Regardless its been confirmed I was right anyway so the point is moot.
Like I said..seemed logical. Based on production time, the end of filming, CBS' probable desire to air it at a structured time that most shows usually appear. However, after looking in various places online I was the first to say it. :-) My further guess based on Les Moonves' interview: Not September 8th as many had guessed, but closer to STNG's premiere date, Sept 28th.Especially since everyone "predicted" the exact same Q3 date and nobody was surprised one bit.![]()

Not according to online media outlets and social media. The number one news story? Premiere delays. A cursory search is evidence enough.I think most people really don't care to try and predict release dates and are perfectly happy to wait for an announcement.
