WB's Justice League 2017 movie pre-discussion thread

In my head I would of done The Batman after MoS and then a follow up movie after JL introducing Nightwing & Batgirl because I would of kill Batman at the end of JL 2 when Darkseid makes his move on Earth in person and is stopped by the League. Batgirl could of taken the mantle up of protecting Gotham herself and also lay the grounds for a Gotham City Sirens project.

We are all very glad that you are not in charge.

It really annoys me WB didn't follow MoS with a standalone Batman movie to set up BvS as what would of been better to kick start the DCEU than a Superman/Batman trilogy story.

When I first heard the news about "Batman v. Superman", I thought that WB should have followed up with a second Superman movie or a Batman solo movie. But when I saw the 2016 film, I quickly understood why Snyder had followed up with a Superman/Batman film.

I thought they were similar to their training costumes from the WW movie and not the ones they wear in battle?

Right back at ya pal ;)

If I may ask why do you think they followed up with the BvS movie?

The movie's plot basically revolved around the fallout from the events of "Man of Steel" . . . especially the Black Zero Event. It was this event that really introduced Superman to the world. For Bruce Wayne, it was this event that led to his determination to kill Superman. For Lex Luthor, it was Superman's introduction that led to his determination to do the same.

Well, they aren't wrong about the Amazons being in more revealing outfits than in WW's own movie. You don't run into a fight with an exposed midriff unless you're invulnerable to bullets.

Are the bikinis their battle uniforms, their training uniforms or merely costumes for a publicity photo?

The review embargo has been lifted. The Hollywood Reporter is scathing but while I'm dismissive of the "anti-DCEU" critics conspiracy theories, it's hard not to conclude that this critic was dying to sink the boot in

Make a good film, get a good review. It's not Rocket Science.

I’ll certainly grant you that 2/2 stinking reviews so far doesn’t look good (I hadn’t seen the Telegraph review when I initially posted the THR one) but there can be all sorts of subjective factors that go into reviews. The late Philip French from the Observer was respected as one of the most knowledgeable film critics in Britain but he gave EVERY SINGLE Star Wars film a bad review. The nearest he got to praise was when reviewing the 1997 re-release of ESB was to say “well, I suppose it’s the best of them.”

Edit. Sadly the more genre-friendly Collider is only a little more positive than the other two reviews: http://collider.com/justice-league-...um=social&utm_campaign=collidersocial/#poster
