Move Along Home..........move over. You are now #2 on the shit list.

*chuckles*

Even the B-Plot? That was kinda funny... Jeff Combs' character is... persistent. ;)

Yup, amazingly awesome B-plot due to Jeffrey Combs in Meridian, but completely unwatchable & pointless drivel for the entire A-plot.

I thought dude talked alot like JC, cool. Thanx Nav for info. Next time I'll just FF thru all the Dax stuff.

That A- plot could have been easily done in one of those faceless Voyager eps

I never understood all the hate for this episode. I don't mind it at all. I mean, it's not great or anything...but compared to Move Along Home it's a masterpiece, IMO.

Ah, that's a bit stretching it but ok. Of course I am one of the few who kinda liked Move Along Home, but this episode was just boring. It is memorable for the Jeffery Combs first visit though.

I agree about Move Along Home--it's no masterpiece but to me, it's not as bad as it's made out to be, not at all.

I still like the argument between Dax, Sisko and Kira as they risk their lives trying to save her... and "fail."

I never got the vehement hate for this episode. Sure, there's nothing really good going on but it's not brutal either. Just a completely forgettable episode. You wanna talk about bad? 'Profit and Lace' or 'Let He Who Is Without Sin...' Enough said.

It's nice to see someone else standing up for Move Along Home's honour :p

Meridian, to quote JC himself, was "boring. Boring, boring, BORING!" It's hard to get involved in a story where Dax falls in love and decides to give up her career and pretty much forsakes the Dax symbiont in less time than it takes to watch a Lord of the Rings marathon, and THEN goes through the whole heartbreak thing in the final scene, only to be completely over it with no mention of it ever again by the next episode.

It makes for a pretty hollow story in the end.

Move Along Home has shaps and Allamaraine and stuff... I mean, that's just dramatic gold by comparison ;)

Ha ha...."3rd shap....chooose................. thialo, Allamaraine, count to four, Allamaraine, then three more, Allamaraine, if you can see, Allamaraine, you'll come with me..." klon peags, alpha-currant nectar

Yep rich stuff, there

When Ira Behr says, of his own idea to do Brigadoon in space, "I am a moron" you know the end result is not going to be pretty.

I enjoyed Move Along Home, but Meridian was pure rubbish. I found it impossible to believe the Dax story at all. It seemed completely out of character. For me to buy her journey would take a longer and better written story than was presented.

It reminded me of that TNG episode where Troi has the whirlwind romance with some planetary leader (I cannot remember the name of that one) -- or frankly any number of other Troi storylines where she ends up falling for someone. Thankfully the female characters on DS9 weren't as wound up in romance storylines as the TNG ones, but that's what this episode felt like: a crappy early- to mid-TNG romance story for a female lead because the writers just couldn't think up anything else to do with Dax.

I kind of like Move Along Home, I think it's fun to watch. But I'll have to agree with JC on Meridian, though. It is dreadfully boring.

I'll take Move Along Home over Meridian any day. MAH is silly and goofy, for sure. But nobody's really out of character, and the show keeps moving.

Meridian? They almost killed Jadzia's character right there for me. I just don't buy what she does in this episode AT ALL. If she were just the young woman then maybe, just maybe I might feel differently. But Jadzia Dax? Not a chance in hell she'd just give everything up like that. Plus I can't stand that guy she's supposed to be falling for...
And, yes, it's boring as hell.

They don't have any chemistry, Jadzia and that bloke. That's why we don't buy the "epic" love they're supposed to be sharing.

And him using that holo-cam when Odo catches him and tells Kira, "he gets very angry whenever" he blocked Quark's view of Kira... LOL!!
