Watch the "Star Trek: Borg" interactive episode

So someone (not me) uploaded the videos from the old Star Trek: Borg game from Simon and Schuster on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqryMPX6Xvo&feature=related

Basically, in the "video responses" section of each video, you can pick and watch the "correct answer" videos as well as the "wrong ending" videos. Unfortunately, they're not all uploaded yet, but I thought some others out there like me who didn't get to play the game back then would enjoy what's up so far.

I have always wondered why these full motion video games never made it to a DVD release, I'm sure your average DVD player could do this without to much problems seeing as we get DVD player games now.

That game was great fun... a game that required you to think like a Starfleet officer and rewarded practical knowledge of the ways of the Trek universe. And of course DeLancie as Q was funny and entertaining.

Yeah, Borg had promise but they could have done a lot more with it. That's why I wound up writing some extra endings for it. I've also noted that the interface suffers from wear on the CD over time. You might reach a given choice and fail even if you do things correctly, cause the drive can no longer read the right info on the CD. Damn frustrating.

I didn't realize you could see the correct or wrong ending episodes. I knew they were up but haven't seen the others. Gotta check it out soon.

That's neat...I never got to play this game, so it's cool that someone posted this online. Was the Star Trek: Klingon game similar to this?

Wanted to add that I too don't understand why FMV games went south. The Beast Within was a good game, the last Wing Commander was excellent, etc... Heck, last year I bought a 3DO off Ebay for the old gunslinger game series. I guess it's cheaper to just make character models instead of hiring actors. Personally, It would be the greatest thing if they come out with a FMV first person star trek series (like borg) with episodes downloadable monthly, something like the Sam and Max series. I wouldn't care if it wasn't CGI'ed to max, but would fill the void of not having a "new" tv series to watch.

Anyone know where I could find the borgptch.zip for this game?
It allows you to play/install the game on XP after switching capability mode.
I've been looking high and low for the past week after finding the cd's,

Any helpful info or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!

*crosses fingers*

I'm guessing it's just up to part 12, right? That's as far as I could find. Ironically it's about as far as I got in the original game as well.

I just discovered the playlist for the game last night, but it was really laggy for some reason.
