Wasn't Ogawa pregnant in the later half of Season 7?

I think it was pretty clear that she and Sito Jaxa were friends, and naming a child after a friend who has died is not uncommon.

Both valid points. However, in universe, a precident was offered when Riker's "son" was named Jean Luc in Future Imperfect.

^

That "son" also used a hologram as the basis for his mother, so it just goes to show how jacked up Riker is, mentally.

So because Riker named his "son" after his superior officer, Ogawa would name her child after her superior officer. This isn't the Supreme Court, I don't think the precedent counts.

Well duh. I doubt though that the awkward angle of the screencap provided is enough to go on to assume she was pregnant at the time.

Well, a bulge in the lower belly IS one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. I'm not saying she WAS pregnant. I was just wondering. It was more promienent in the "Eye of the Beholder" scene I mentioned.

I thought that Ogawa lost the baby in the episode Genesis of season 7?

"All Good Things"... not "Genesis".

^

No, but they used her pregnancy to save the crew after findin' that lizard Spot had birthed normal kittens.

No. If she had, Data wouldn't have found a way to save the day...

They could've used Spot's amiotic fluids or found somebody else on the ship who was pregnant.

:wtf: Now that I'm speaking of it... I happen to be watching "Genesis" right now.

Picard and Data wanted a pregnant HUMANIOD to work with for the virus. So they took Ogawa from the aboretum???

First of all, isn't Alyssa Ogawa human? And secondly, was there a reason they couldn't use a pregnant human?

I have a bulge in my lower belly, it's fat, not pregnancy. A lot of women have a similar bulge.

When I was in basic trainin', the PT uniforms seemed to highlight that bulge on the women there. A buddy of mine called it the FUPA (fat upper p*ssy area) back then.

Cheeky!! LOL

Back in the day when button flies on jeans suddenly became the new thing to have, they were a bloody nightmare if you've got a blobby belly - the looks I used to get off little old ladies :wtf:
