Was there a toilet on the Enterprise?

Oh come on, people! They had evolved beyond the need to poop and pee.

Try as I might, I can't recall ever seeing a toilet on any starships. Did they have one??? :cardie:

Read the label near the seat on which Kirk is sitting, in the brig, during ST V. The sign reads "Do not flush while in spacedock".

I recall a mention of the Bolians causing plumbing problems in an episode of VOY, too. "In VOY: "Bride of Chaotica!": when power shortages affected Voyager, Neelix warned Captain Janeway that there were only four functional lavatories for the 150 people on the ship, which was especially a problem as there were Bolians on board."

Ah, here you are:

Speaking of which...

Shatner at a San Diego convention around the time he was developing TFF said to the audience, of which I was in attendance, that he wanted to have a scene in which Kirk and Spock have a conversation in the ship's head. He wanted to shoot it from the chest up then pull away once they'd finish, so that the urinals would be visible.

If he'd been able to manage that for TFF, then it would've been the first American SF film or TV show to have a urinal shot long before Babylon 5 ("Signs and Portents").

I guess that would explain why the Enterprise spent all that time flying around Uranus looking for Klingons....

Well, we know for sure the NX-01 had a toilet. Let us not forget Trip's infamous "poop question."
