As for being Pike's Chief Engineer? You've got to be freakin' kidding me! Sure Star Trek is all about breaking stereotypes... but he seemed like a round peg in a square hole kind of guy.

The one cinema were I've seen it (a few times) they show a beer-commercial before the movie that looks in parts like the red-matter-sequence at the end of the film... only with little beer-drops
The actor is from Lancashire in the UK. I recall someone posting (in the first few days after general release) that the accent heard in the movie is his own and not a put-on one.

Oh, frak me, how awesome would that be?!? If they went the Klingon route for the next movie, I can see him as a Klingon take on Riddick so perfectly.
As for Olsen, I'm wonderi9ng if he was affected from that syndrome that deep sea divers get when they drop altitude too quickly...I don't recall the name or exact description of it, however.
Or, it could easily have been he was just an overconfident engineer.

I've seen that one a few times in front of Trek, too. I thought it was a clever commercial, but I couldn't help but see him as Reed up there. I'd feel bad for the guy, but he probably made more money off that one commercial than I've made in years and years...

The theater I went to showed the same PSA. I had to do a double take when I saw him on the screen.
Never saw the Dominic PSA at my theater...or anywhere else for that matter. But I feel like I've seen it with all the talk about it on the ENT forums.
