Warren Stevens R.I.P.

^ Understandable. One of the great "exits" in film!

I remember him in a lot of TV from when I was a kid, but Doc Ostrow and Rojan really stand out. I also remember him trying to fool around with Richard Widmark's wife in Madigan.

It was always kind of nice to think that he was still around, in fact I think I mentioned him in a post when Anne Francis died. But 92 is not bad, and I hope he had a smooth run. RIP.

I don't think so; it would be good to see him and the Chief together. Never in a (Bart) Maverick, either. According to IMDb he was in a Honey West, though.

I just recalled he was on a good Adam-12 where he played an old-school officer who's returning to duty after years on disability. He was a little too ready to crack skulls and cut corners; Malloy had to straighten him out.

Hmm, if we had gotten Warren Stevens as the captain way back when, I wonder who would have played in in the '09 flick?

Anyway, with Stevens gone, does that mean it's just Richard Anderson left of the C57D higher ranking officers?

Sincerely,

Bill

So Earl Holliman's still alive? Being at the office when I made my last post, my 'net resources were somewhat limited, so I couldn't research. And Franky Darrow who wore the Robby costume, he's gone, isn't he?

Sincerely,

Bill

Frankie Darrow died in 1976, according to Wikipedia. Earl Holliman is still alive, according to all the information I can find, although he hasn't worked as an actor since 2000 (hard to begrudge a man of 83 for taking a well-deserved retirement, though).

requiescat in pace Doc Ostrow.. Your characters often were about the most intelligently
performed of all the TV guest stars of my childhood..

You will be missed..

I was just thinking about TZ's 'Dead Man's Shoes'. Tour de force. In as much as modern Trek was supposedly all about the characters, they never had as good or as memorable characters as Trek, or TZ or even Buck Rogers. He was a power house. Also one of the few to be listed and considered by GR for Captain Robert April of the S.S. Yorktown who later turned into Kirk and the Enterprise. Drake and North were also a couple of alternate names for Kirk.

A sad reminder that these episodes were made almost half a century ago. These actors remain forver young in our memories.
