Warp Theorist Stress

Dryson

Commodore

What is the most stressful aspect of being a Warp Field Theorist? Not remembering to attenuate the mass of a virtual black hole to the appropriate space time curve.

It's kinda embarrassing when you get a pip from the Captain to come the bridge for an unknown reason. When you arrive the entire bridge crew and alien delegation are standing there, naked, just waiting for you to get your calculations correct before they continue.
Getting the VBH mass calculation and attenuation parameters down pat is crucial to becoming a Starship Engineer.

But then again, in the heat of the moment, when that Romulan Warbird is almost on you, just flip the switch, turn the VBH on full go and laugh to yourself as the Romulans wonder what the hell happened to their clothes.

Could you imagine at the trial of Kirk and Party, the VBH stasis units going off line? One by one everyone in the room suddenly becomes naked, their clothes forever lost in a VBH.

How do you explain it to the Klingon's, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellerites and every other lifeform in the room that they are all suddenly naked?

I mean I thought I knew this ship like the back of my hand.
