Hello

How fast is warp speed and is it an exponential scale???

Thanks

Personally I think they should have remained with the original warp scale. It made allot more sense and was easier to use!

I don't - I agree entirely with the reason it was changed (namely, to stop writers constantly one-upping "really really fast", with the Enterprise about to explode in one ep because they push it to W8, then cruising at W8 a season or three later and the struggle is for W14 or W16...)

It makes more sense to have warp 10 as top because then it would go on for ever.

BTW is W10 impossible???

I could make the same argument from the other side of the coin. What you describe as your reason is also done with the new scale! The main reason not to change is that past warp 9.2 (new scale) or thereabouts you can't figure how fast you are going and warp 10 the ultimate unobtainable speed of being everywhere at the same time. Give me a friggin break!:wtf:
