Re: Warner Bros Considering Developing The Dark Knight Returns Animate

Haha, we are 1-1 on filling people in on these actors filmographies, Vulcan.

Voice Actors for Batman: Year One animated announced! with screen caps.

Ben McKenzie - Bruce Wayne/Batman
Bryan Cranston - Lieutenant James Gordon
Eliza Dushku - Catwoman
Katie Sackhoff - Detective Sarah Essen

I like McKenzie in Southland. I love Cranston in Breaking Bad (indeed, he's not unlike Gary Oldman looks-wise and would also have made a good live-action Gordon). I love Dushku, full stop, and think she would have made a great Catwoman in a live-action Batman movie. And I love Sackhoff too. So all in all, I'm pretty impressed with this cast.

I love the voice cast and the screen shots look great. I'm really looking forward to this.

Bryan Cranston as Gordon is inspired casting.

Funny thing. Ironside as Batman is great, but that's NOT the voice I hear in my head when I read DKR. If anything, the voice in DKR should be closer to Conroy's version of the character in "Batman Beyond" and this is the time they SHOULD use Conroy again.

Of course, in a perfect world, WB would implore upon their long time director-star and get the guy that Miller admitted was his model for the aging Batman: Clint Eastwood. That's the voice of an old bitter Bruce Wayne right there.

^ I was going to suggest that a while ago.

Re: Warner Bros Considering Developing The Dark Knight Returns Animate

I've long been a proponent of Clint Eastwood as Old Bruce as he was rumored for the role in the proposed "Batman Beyond" live action film.
