^ My favourite part was about them having to punch each other in the face.
Well, they are playing violent criminals; it might help to be accustomed to that kind of stuff.

^ Yechh. I could only stand it for about 10 seconds.

I saw someone comment on the "Hot Topic" style of the recent posters. We don't actually have that franchise over here, so to me the style looks like a hybrid of pop art/skater art/street art.

The only part of the video I didn't like was Lil' Wayne, but other than that I really liked it.

Not surprised that was debunked, that is awfully short for this kind of movie, especially one that will be splitting it's time between so many characters. CBR's article has been updated to include Ayer's Tweet saying it isn't 100 minutes.

Hm. There was a time when 100 minutes was considered a perfectly reasonable running time for an action movie. RoboCop was 101 minutes long. Escape from New York was 99 minutes. Rush Hour was 98 minutes. A lot of movies came close to 2 hours, but anything much above that was seen as excessive. These days, films pushing 2 and a half hours are increasingly common. (Though there are still a few shorter ones -- Moon was 97 minutes, Source Code 93 minutes, Lucy 89 minutes.)

Most films these days are simply too damn long. Batman Begins is 2 hrs 15 mins, significantly longer than the films you list yet The Dark Knight Rises is nearly a half hour longer and considerably less entertaining.

Star Wars ANH is just over 2 hours, Raiders is 6 mins shorter, Lethal Weapon a mere 1:50. By their standards, Die Hard is a protracted 2:11 yet unlike most modern films, it doesn't feel like a second is wasted or unnecessary.

As a general rule, I'd say 90 minutes for a comedy, 2 hours for a super hero movie, 3.5 hours for a Lord of the Rings movie

I think Judd Apatow must have got the rules mixed up on his film-making kit. He seems to have gotten the ones for a LOTR movie rather than a comedy.

If they cut out all the sweeping aerial shots of characters walking, the LotR movies would probably clock in at 2 hours apiece.
