Warehouse13 Episode "Implosion" Discussion Grading Thread

Do you think this Episode is one of the best written, acted ?

Well I thought Roger Rees was a surprise villain using the WH13 tech against our retrieval team does anybody think that his character is on going or just arc related like three or four episodes. Imagine a former WH13 agent that has gone bad,and one step ahead of our team retaking the artifacts to sell back to those former owners of the artifacts.
Interesting speculation on my part gave the episode an excellent grade though for well written, and acted.

P.S I think we should honor WH13 with its own forum if there is enough posts to warrant it.

I liked it very much. More dept to Artie's character this week.

I liked Micah's ST reference at the end "I'm not a redshirt!"

OrionPimp ,

You've got the idea, and please tell everybody to share their opinon just like you did.

I think this is a solid show and has promise. I think the episodes and stories keep getting progressively better, each week. Hopefully, it sticks around. It is nice to have a summer sf show around.

Well, this episode is definitely better than the last few. I find Artie to be a very interesting character, but the leads only mildly so. However, there's enough humor and nice characters moments to keep my interest.

Although, the preview for next week's looks terrible. An evil double? Really?

Pretty good episode but a slide back into juvenile attitudes and behavior for Pete after a couple of episodes when he was more mature and more interesting (IMHO). Great lines about red shirts, though! And good backstory development for Artie. More Roger Rees, please!

A qualified thumbs up.

I like this show :techman:

"Like" is a pretty strong(ok, sort of middle of the road) word to use to describe my own feelings about this show. My DVR records it, I watch it, and my subconscious sits around hoping it will get better.

Excellent... The best show yet, I think.

Positives: Very interesting background on Artie, plus the introduction of (I assume) a recurring villain. And the implosion grenades were very cool. (both in concept and execution)
Negatives: No Claudia AKA "Warehouse TNG" :)

I saw district 9 the other day.

Warehouse 13 needs an entire episode where the new kids get their special weapons training because the bad guy of the week formula is tired and shit since Adam West could fit in his tights.

I felt put upon when a dildo like Boon on Lost had to explain what a red shirt was on Lost considering Locke was a kid when TOS was in its first run.

Micha used to be a solid 8, I like'm tall and grumpy, but this crankrd all the way up to 11.

what did Pete say?
something like "That's so cool you knew what I meant!"

I'm loving the whole dynamic between all the characters
the running gag with Mrs. Fredrick and how she and her bodyguard just appear :D

don't remember seeing the football in this episode . . .
which gives me an idea: if Syfy wants to cancel this show prematurely let's all send footballs in protest

Stop bickering Guy Gardener, and Backstep this OT big time, just keep your opinions to the topic being discussed otherwise I'll have a Mod close this thread got it.

Now to my continued say on on this topic do you think that SYFY should not only pick it up for another season of which premature on my part, and should there be Memorabilia for us fans to purchase as collectibles like a video game , walkies talkies shaped like the Farnsworth, and the Tesla gun computer accessories AKA Artie.

What do you think the TPTB that produce WH13 should market "Artifacts for us to own."

Let me know what you think about this within the parameters of the thread.

the show just isn't big enough for a major marketing of "items". And what's your problem with Guy? Granted, sometimes his posts are "out there" but I think he made a fairly clear statement about the show up there-no "bickering" at all. He suggested a change in format(temporary) and expressed his pleasure with the ST nod and the leading lady. If anyone needs to dial it back, Buck, its you. You may have started the thread but we are all going to express our opinions in it. Democracy-aint it cool?;)

Okay you've calmed me down Mistral, and I'm apologizing to Guy,and Backstep right now so lets continue the discussion while we still can as to merchandising the show its safe to say that when SG-1 was way into its 2nd or 3rd season merchandising was explosive everything from hats to costumes, equipment etc. so who is to predict if SYFY would merchandise the the show it depends on the ratings right.
But could you all put on your designer caps for a moment think that the Farnsworth video walkie talkies could sell not only to the WH13 fans, but there is a growing Steampunk fandom that will buy these up big time IMO all you would to make these work is round video screen or a square one with a round cover a built-in video camera connected to FRS radio circuit, and speakerphone.
As to the Tesla Stun gun it could be a sound and light effects pistol simulating the operation of the gun.
Oh don't get me started on WH13 ID passes, bumper stickers T-shirts,Buttons to name but a few of the merchandising that we could see coming down the pike for this show .
Well Back to the Job hunt

I'm still definitely enjoying the show. It's nothing special, but it's a fun summer TV show. And yeah, this was definitely the best ep so far. I did miss Claudia though. ;)

Btw, why the hell is the poll closed already?

I assumed it was because the new villian, Robin from Cheers, stole her entry strategy, not that there wasn't an Agent the week before who had bad mojo towards the warehouse, althoug pretty young Claudia nor her brother were not Agents come back to do the dirty, but she was old news come for new vengeance and then they flattened her into a sidekick...

I'm really feeling the love right now. :)

Warehouse 13 is frustrating me right now, even while I am enjoying it.

The problem I have with the show is that it could be amazing. Ramp up the mythology, give the two main characters some real training and knowledge, and give them some ongoing character arcs.

Right now it is mildly entertaining, but it is annoying that the two mains never get told what the need to know, they go into almost every situation with limited knowledge because Artie or whoever just wants to play at being mysterious. Would it hurt to show the two leads devouring previous case files and the history of the Warehouse every waking moment? I like the light, fun feel of the show, but make it a little more real, have the characters act like real people in real situations.

I have hope for the show though, it seems to be finding its footing and could turn into something much better than what it is right now.
