Warehouse 13

Anybody watch this last night? I thought it was pretty good episode. The romantic in me was hoping for Claudia and Jimmy from Smallville to hook up hahaha. Looks like that is NOT going to happen haha.

Oh why? Is he gay or something?

...

Oh.

Anyway, something about the writing felt just a little off this week. A lot of lines were cliched, like the guest characters were just templates plugged into the episode and not well-rounded people. The protective mom. The protective dad. The Nancy Grace character. It was a little weak. Even Jinxie's revelation came out odd. I did like the way Pete's background factored into Micah's story and the way that was revealed.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Pete handles Jinx's preferences. Pete's such a flaming heterosexual that there's a lot they can do with the two of them. On the other hand, the whole group is so sophomoric sometimes that maybe Warehouse 13 isn't the best franchise to explore tolerance.

Yeah. I thought it was the first episode in a long while that wasn't very good.

It was early season 1 bad. I was really disappointed.

I dunno, if handled right, it could be really good.

Pete is sophomoric to the core but only as it pertains to being a clown. He's otherwise been shown to be a very caring guy.

If they can show that he's comfortable being whole "guy" self around Jinx, could speak in ways better than any Movie-of-the-week type of thing could.

I thought the episode was decent, not great, and it missed character chemistry, which is the show's strongest point.
The first episode of this season however, was amazing.

I'm still not sold on the new guy yet. I have nothing against the guy, and I actually like the fact that he's gay (and therefore not another Kirk to compete with Pete, and something different), but I thought the character dynamics were all perfect as is, and I don't see how they're fitting him into that yet. It looks like they're making him the dull guy to play off Claudia's zaniness, but that's what Arty was for, and I thought that was perfect as is, but we'll see. And I thought the way Claudia brought up the issue was a bit forced and hammy.

First episode I'd give a 9/10, second one maybe a 6/10.

Yep. Jinx is also too good right now. There's nothing wrong with him. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But he's got no hangups. Maybe if he was uncomfortable about being gay. Or Buddhist. Or if he had a bad temper. Please, please, please give this guy some flaws! Make him pick his nose when he doesn't think anyone's looking or something.

I like the first season I am glad Mika's back in the group. plan to ep 2 later today. and ep 2 of eureka!!.

I just watched episode 2 on Hulu, and I thought it was pretty average. Not really bad, but not that good either. I am curious to see if the Jinx/Claudia partnership is going to be a regular thing or if they'll mix it up as the season goes on.
I noticed Aaron Ashmore is only a guest star, so I was wondering if we know for sure whether or not he's a permanent addition to the show?
