Warehouse 13 - worth it?

I like it quite a bit myself. Good blend of humor and sci-fi/fantasy stuff. It's an enjoyable show.

I find W13 a light fun sci-fi show that is easy to watch even with non-scifi people.

Originally I thought it was ok, and then once Claudia appeared it felt slightly more rounded as the trio did seem to lack something. So I'd call that an improvement but the show is roughly the same tone.

I find it a nice fun show which is both a mix of mystery and science fiction. If you don't mind shows like W13 or Eureka, it's good, but if you can't stand Eureka you won't really like Warehouse 13.

If you don't like the light hearted and goofy nature of the leads than this show is not for you. Most of the stories are "vanilla", they are pretty plain, but the way the characters interact with each other is great.

I like the show and I am glad the characters are the way they are, I hope they don't change in the coming seasons.

The funny part is-the lead guy played one of the most memorable parts on Bones

Really? Is that why no one remembers him from the show?

:p

As far as guest roles go, Sully was a fairly deep character that affected Tempe down to her roots. I found the portrayal charming without going into a heavy-handed approach. Not something you can say about all of these "interns" they've been rotating through. As to whether or not people around here remember him-I see so many threads asking about vague topics that posters can't quite remember-and "can anyone recall this"(whatever it might be) that I hold the fault with the memorization abilities of the people here rather than the quality of the actor's performance. I am, however, biased, since my recall ability is sort of freakish in nature.

Well, I quite like Eureka, the format allows them to do something different every week (though the "whacky scientist loses the plot}, uh, plt is getting a bit old. But I digress). W13 should have that same potential.

But the leads just irritate me no end, which is why I asked the question originally. If thinghs don't get better, those two will put me off watching past ep 5.

I watched two episodes. It is standard Syfy channel crap. I wasted my time giving Flash Gordon a chance to get better and it never did. If a Syfy show doesn't impress me after a couple episodes then I give up on it. There are too many better things to do than watch a show with a budget of $.20 with dull actors.

Can't really argue with that.

But W13 is Shakespeare compared to that inane Flash Gordon thing.

Well, maybe not Shakespeare. Poe, maybe.

I really enjoy this show, too - and I also can't wait for next season. I missed the first three episodes, though, so I'm hoping they'll replay them as an introduction to the new season.

Everybody has an absolute right to his or her opinion, of course, but I really don't understand how anybody can dislike Pete or Myka to the point that the entire show becomes unwatchable. I am not doubting the sincerity or the reasoning of those who say they do - don't think I am implying that. I just literally don't understand it. No, they aren't absolutely lovable characters. That's what makes them interesting to me. If they were absolutely lovable, it would become an action-adventure cartoon, and I personally don't find that kind of show interesting enough that I'll dedicate an hour a week to watching one.

I really like the combination of slightly annoying characters - characters who are annoying in a comprehensible sort of way - with fun goofball action. A lot, apparently.
If you have cable TV on Demand select SyFy,and WH13 all of the first three or four episode to the season end are available.

We enjoy WH13. It's just a fun show. I don't think it's one that meant to be taken too seriously. I'm looking forward to season 2.
