Warehouse 13 Finale?

I looked and didn't see any threads on this. Anybody watching this? Overall I didn't think the series was too bad.....which may or may not have to do with Joanne Kelly, haha.

What are your thoughts on tonight's season finale?

And man, do the actors just always shoot in front of a green screen, haha.

Oh, I have only seen this season off and on and thought it was already over with. I've been meaning to catch up with it online though, so thanks for the reminder.

Well, it's not like they can afford to go to Egypt.

I liked how it ended, even though HG Well's motivations made absolutely no sense to me given how it never came up for her. Still, I like the characters so I'm willing to forgive how that.

I liked it. Yeah, HG was set up as the big bad awhile ago, so I wasn't sure how long it take for her true motives to surface. Her reasoning for doing what she did was a little off, but not so much that it bothered me much. I like the way the main characters interacted and I thought it ended with them all behaving well within character.

I've really been enjoying WH13 this season. Where else can you see a female H. G. Wells try to destroy the world with an ancient Greek trident?

SPOILERS.

I wonder if Myka will be back for the holiday special?

Why wouldn't she? Does Kelly want to drop-our or something?

Anyhoo, I think the finale was pretty good. Really predictable. Though I like the idea of Claudia becoming the next caretaker--suitable since Scagliotti has pretty much taken over the show.

The show is certainly gotten better from its weak start.

No, no. I didn't mean to imply that Myka was really gone for good. I was just wondering if they'll resolve the cliffhanger in the holiday special or wait until the premiere of Season Three . . . .

So is SyFy going all "BBC" with this show and Eureka? 13 episode runs with Holiday specials in between?

^^It's a great idea, one that was long overdue. With insufferably long breaks between (mid and end of) seasons, they need to keep their marquee shows on the radar, instead of lost in the ether. When I look at USA Network, I see promos for all their shows that are now on hiatus. They keep their originals fresh in the minds of their viewers.
Contrast that to Syfy-I never saw a single promo for SGU ALL SUMMER LONG. Or for Sanctuary.

Yeah, H.G.'s motivation was pretty much out of left field, to the point where I figured they originally were going with a resurrection artifact, then threw in the trident twist as a late re-write. Having said that, all the other character work was good. It may be cheesy fantasy at times, but the cast really sells it.

I quite agree, but I look forward to the merchandise coming to stores, and convention dealers to keep me interested until the Season three or when Season two is on DVD.
Anybody interested to form a discussion group or forum online?

Any I got to get some sleep got an interview in the afternoon.

I was disappointed that they didn't go through with it. I was all ready for them to make Claudia the 13 caretaker and Ms.F. the 2 caretaker. Can you imagine the new dynamic between Claud and Artie now if they had done it?

And what was up with Artie running off during the crisis?

I don't like Pete's girlfriend. Or rather, I don't like how quickly that relationship was developed. I don't buy the "depth" of that connection at all, because they didn't give it more than cursory attention. I'd like her better if I'd had more opportunity to get to know her - and her and Pete together doing something other than rolling around the bed.

They made the trip to warehouse 2 a waste of time. There was no need for that story to have anything to do with WH2. I had hoped there would be something unique about findng WH2 for the story, like maybe some kind of artifact there that allows contact with the Egyptian God Anubis. HG could have tried to get the god to bring back her daughter.

Instead she finds part of an artifact that could just as well have been anywhere else.

I enjoy the show. That said, it was pretty obvious the planned story got derailed at the last minute. The whole trident thing was out of left field. Also, I liked HG-she should have been kept on as a recurring character.
Claudia has been fun since the word "Go" and her becoming Caretaker was a great concept. "You can do anything you want with your life" sounded convincing - until Artie hugged her.

Myka leaving-actually kind of poignant. She better be back, though. The chemistry with the 2 mains is too strong to break up.

An aside-did anyone notice Ms Kelly's lip on the left side? She has big, full lips anyway but it looked odd, like she'd been stung by a bee or something...

Um, couldn't that be said regardless of what the artifact did?

Being in wh2 actually added a whole subplot with the caretaker situation. If H.G. had just found the item she needed in wh13 we would have missed all that and the whole Indiana Jones thing. So yeah, I would have to say that it was integral to have the artifact be in wh2. You lose 3/4 of the episode if it's not.

This year, Warehouse 13 graduated from a show I like to one of my favorites. I'm really disappointed that there were only thirteen episodes; I hope they get at least twenty next year (that would more or less follow Eureka's pattern).

What I really love about this show are the characters and their interactions. They're all very individualistic and the friction between them arises naturally, and doesn't prevent them from respecting and loving each other. I loved the scenes between Artie and Claudia in the finale, and the way Pete took off after Myka. About the only thing that disappointed me in this two-parter was how they handled Valda's death. I was sure he would either return in the finale, or that his death would have some special significance; but he seems to have been forgotten both by the characters and the writers.

I also loved the plot to trigger the Yellowstone super-volcano. That thing has been worrying me for years. :rommie:

And Myka's "defeat" of HG Wells was typical of how this show operates. Very seldom is there a stereotypical "villain." Mostly there are people who are either clueless or mean well, but who are the victims of powerful artifacts. That's a breath of fresh air these days.

I hope all this talk of a Holiday Special is true. I hadn't heard that before.

I very much enjoyed the finale and Warehouse 13 has become one of my favorite shows. It's incredibly fun and has a terrific, likeable cast.

I thought the actress who play HG Wells did a very good job but I was disappointed with how her storyline turned out. It was like the writers wanted to come up with something cool but quit very quickly and just went the bat shit crazy route. Disappointing end to what was a good storyline.

Looking foward to the W13 Holiday Special in December.

Ras A Ghul (I never spell that right) has been after saving the earth by thinning the population for quite some time now. it was also the near invisible plot to the recent the day the earth stood still.

Only some one from the past can really see how much of a crunch we are in.

I liked her more as a goodie.
