Warcraft (Film) 2016

I thought Warcraft ocs were green-skinned? The ones in Tides of Darkness definitely were...

Warcraft III and World of Warcraft shows that orcs were originally brown before they drank demon blood and became at least partly corrupted (green).

It's more than five years too late, they've soured most of their current fanbase with their WoW games, and a pure CGI fest like this just isn't going to work out nearly as well as they hope it does.

Doom all over again, especially considering their terrible storytelling skills as demonstrated time and again in their games.

I've never played a Warcraft game, so I know nothing about the franchise, but that was one seriously awesome trailer. Could this be the first truly good video game movie?

I don't know, the orc baby made me wince.

I think it could be a decent video game movie, I'm not sure if it's going to be truly good. But I think it will be a lot of fun and pretty great for warcraft players past and present.

I'm wondering where the gnomes are.

Hm... definitely got a bit of a SW PT vibe from some of those comically clean suits of armor and council rooms and such... not to mention Avatar, particularly in the shot of the guy jumping on the eagle. Still, I'm interested.

Have no idea what this is about but it looks pretty bad. Generic "It is coming", "I can feel it" and all that guff.

Oh and was that a Moses orc baby?

And I REALLY hope that's not finished effects - EXTREMELY cartoony!

WarCraft is cartoony. The look of the film fits the games well.

Although I do fear that this is going to be a bland CGI-fest, but that'll still make this the best video game movie ever made.

I am convinced that the orc baby
Thrall
took me out of it a bit but the rest is AWESOME!!! I played Warcraft & play World of Warcraft and know a lot about the IP so I am excited!!! :bolian:

ETA: Just fooling around with numbers the average price of a movie ticket in US is $8.61, the WoW subs is at 5.6 Million (a month) = $48,216,000 wasn't the subs at 12 million at one point? Just with fans this movie should be okay and I am sure plenty of non-fans will see it too. ;)
