Want to feel (real) old?

I was a huge Deep Space Nine fan when the series was originally on the air, and not once did I look at Jake Sisko and think, "hey, he's my age". I always assumed he was younger until you made this post and I finally investigated.

He is, in fact, two years older than I am.

Strangely, that doesn't make me feel any better about my own impending 30th (birthday). Reviewing the DS9 stats on IMDB just reminded me that it's already been about a decade since the show was still on prime time. Doesn't seem like that long ago...how distressing!

Cirroc Lofton will be 32 years of age, later this year.
Why would that make me feel old?

If anything, thinking about DS9's cast's ages makes me feel very young, since I'm still younger than most of the cast was back then, let alone now... (Cirroc Lofton obviously being the exception)

Wow, I just noticed that Cirroc and I were born on the same day and the same year! Sorry, other then that, I have nothing.

Even more astounding is that Aron Eisenberg is 41.
It's hard to believe he was 24 when he was cast as Nog, isn't it? He said once that Cirroc Lofton didn't realize at first that he wasn't his age, before he got to see him without the makeup, and by that time they had already become friends.

It's hard to guess people's age under the Ferengi makeup, his "father" Max Grodenchick is just 3 years older.

This actually makes me feel really YOUNG. I figured we were about the same age, but he's 7 years older than ma.

Age is just a number. After you leave childhood it shouldn't matter (unless you're an actor and even then not as much as it does). It does, for employers but it shouldn't.

Even without the makeup, Eisenberg looked very young, sorta Gary Coleman-esque. I remember he played a twelve year old bully in an instructional teen video made sometime in the early '90s that they showed on PBS. He must have already been twenty by this point.

Yeah, well, I understand Wil Wheaton has a kid who is more than 20. (I wanna say like 22 or 23) Meaning he was a dad around the 1st or 2nd season of TNG. Blew my mind when I found that out. I knew he was older than me, but I never realized by how much til I heard that
