Walking Bear, Running Wolf - A Star Trek fan production

Philip Guyott

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Episode #2 of The Federation Files, "Walking Bear, Running Wolf". A Star Trek fan production based on the original series timeline. Lieutenant Dawson Walking Bear, who was first featured in Star Trek, The Animated Series, is featured in this episode where he begins to see visions of a wolf roaming the USS Enterprise corridors. The suspense heightens when Walking Bear is confronted by the unexplained on his next away mission. Also featured in this episode is another character come to life also featured in the animated series, the cat-like alien, M'Ress.

One issue I have with the film is the sound. The voices are all off. It would be good to have the actors re-record with a professional microphone (even a Yeti MIC would probably work for this).

About my only real nitpick - There's no officer (IE Kirk - or even the character that looked to be in charge of the Survey mission) log entry as to WHY either Star Fleet or the Federation picked the planet the ship arrived at for a survey, or any other reason they were (supposedly) sent there. Just an off-hand comment from the Transporter Chief on how he's

"...locked on to a meadow, should be a nice little vacation.."

So, honestly...IS it a survey mission, or is this Star Feet's idea of a short shore-leave pass? ;)

Other than that, it's a fine job production wise from all involved.
