VRML Models - Firefly, Falcon, TOS Enterprise

Hi Guys;
You may not have seen my posts under Trek Art.
I build VRML models - Virtual Reality Modeling Language
VRML models are great because they're interactive in real time
and they can be built to simulate life-sized architectures.

I have 3 big models on the go right now...
Firefly Serenity, Millennium Falcon and the TOS Enterprise.

I just thought I'd share some pics and banter details with you - you the experts on everything Sci-Fi!

So here's some pics of the Firefly Serenity.
I build ships life-sized and from the inside out.
I've only started on the crew quarters:

What do you think?

Here's the TOS Enterprise:
This pic is a 3d anaglyph (red/blue glasses needed!)

these next two are videos on YouTube:

This is one monster ship! Wanna see more?

Do you put the outsides on when you're done, and then able to peel them away to look inside?

Yes, something like that.
The way you describe it sounds pretty painful though!!
I was considering a cross-sectional cut-away view and
the skinless view and a full ship view.

Nice to hear from Vancouver!

That's still pretty sweet. Keep us posted.

And that's the first time I've heard someone from Toronto say anything like that! :guffaw:

Good work!
I also wanted to compliment you on youir signature. I agree with it. Note my av.

Thanks for the compliments!

I've been working on the TOS VRML Enterprise today, building the cutaway... here's a pic of my progress and yes it's an red/blue anaglyph:

Cheers!
